They have all failed one by one!! The ones on the back of the PC haven't worked in ages, and now the one working one on the front won't work either. I'll do as you suggest and go to the website and troubleshoot from there

New pc? Less than 5 years old, my sis only had it about 2 years before we inherited it about 12 months ago. Brand new when she bought it.

To be honest pc's become pretty much outdated a lot lot quicker nowadays. Whats top spec 3 years ago can be pretty much obsolete today with the pace that computer technology is developing. I tend to upgrade mine about once a year(not that im suggesting thats normal). If the USB ports are all packing up it sounds pretty gubbed to me.. Can pick up some really really cheap pc's now that will do a good job for less than £400

Try what you can to mend it Julie but dont go spending loads on mending it is all Im saying. Often cheaper and better to just buy a new one. You dont have to lose your ipod data either. Just shove into onto a disc or usb stick....

"Just shove into onto a disc or usb stick.... " I thought this thread was about her knackered usb ports. If you replace your computer, don't bin it, there are ways of getting your i-tunes off your hard drive......you'll probably have to let a computer shop do it for you but you should be ok. Having said that, I lost 6 gig of music when the hard drive in my last lap top crashed and burned

Open file up, and a list will come down. Then it says back up to disc, you just select the ones you want to back up by ticking them! I hope this helps you

Get a PCI card with USB sockets on it. Simple to plug in to your motherboard and very cheap. You should get one for no more than a tenspot.
