I have semi-retired and would like to set up my own website advertising my services as a procurement consultant.
I have a website name which i have googled and no-one seems to have it registered.
Can anyone advise how I register it before someone nabs it or give me the name of an inexpensive website company who will register and create a page for me? May be DATM,er who does this for a living.
I am wary of sending the name to any of the company's who say they will register for a few quid and may claim it for themselves or sell on.

I normally use www.123-reg.co.uk/ Jim, just search for the domain name you want and it will tell you what sites are available and how much they cost. Just because you have googled it doesnt mean that it is available though, as someone could own it but not use it. Thats what happened with B and Q during the boom, somebody bought bandq.com and wanted a ridiculous amount to sell it so B and Q ended up using diy.com. Hope that helps!
