Anybody interested in buying a copy of this? "In 1982 Yorkshire Television made 'Past Masters', a short series of ½-hour programmes about the region’s football clubs. Now probably long-forgotten and lost, here is your chance to see the one featuring Yorkshire’s only Triple-Champions, Huddersfield Town. John Helm takes us through some archive footage of Town players preparing for, and then appearing in F. A. Cup Finals. We also see the first meeting between Town ‘keeper Bob Hesford and Preston’s George Mutch since the 1938 Cup Final, 44 years earlier. Also interviewed are former players Vic Metcalfe, Jimmy Glazzard and Norman Christie, together with Frank Richardson of the Huddersfield District F. A. (who talks about his recollections of Herbert Chapman) and self-appointed club statistician, Des Loughrey.
As you can see, I have also created a nice sleeve for the DVD, including screen-shots from the programme.
Although the picture quality is not always the best (it's a Betamax video-transfer), it is certainly good enough to stir a few memories!"I paid to have the video transferred and I thought I might share it with people on here. I'm not going to put it on eBay as they will moan about copyright, but I can't see YTV ever releasing this, can you? Anyway, it's yours for FOUR QUID* post free. Simply pm me for details. (*If you want to pay by PayPal, I can do that too, but I'll be asking £4.50 as I have fees to pay on that one.)Format is DVD-R, so please DON'T contact me if your system does not support this!
