‘I thought Anton was accusing me of using a racist slur against him. I responded aggressively, saying I never used that term. I would never say such a thing and I’m saddened people would think so. It was clear it was all a misunderstanding at the time.’
Regardless of his playing ability, Justin Whittle would been made the best England captain since Bryan Robson Stuart Pearce
The England captain shouldn't have to play for one of the biggest teams in the country, or be the highest paid player in the country or ever be the best player in the country. It might mean that Ryan Shawcross or Lee Cattermole became England captain but to my mind this would be a good thing. And some wankers would get a good reality check.
You have to admire Terry's argument that what he was actually saying was Oi Anton *whispers* I never called you a *shouts* fucking black card.
All that appears to be stopping this version of events being accepted as gospel is Cole's head getting in the way during the crucial "...I never called you a..." - which presumably makes Ashley a bit of a fucking black card in JT's book as well. Well, that and Anton's version of things.
While not wishing to pre-judge any investigation, why would anyone feel the need to go into the other dressing room and ask 'if everything was Ok between them' if you didn't feel you'd said anything to potentially upset anybody.
