Are you serious about the 11th? If so, where is the course?

right next to the m4/m5
i'm staying at the holiday inn north bristol, i think we've paid in turnips.
so helpful tips on how to get into town would be welcome - is there a bus? there's a train station nearby* that seems to go to temple meads.
*it might not be nearby

You are right by UWE. Go and pretend you are a student and drink cheap* pints.
Parkway station is about a 25 minute walk away. Your best bet is to walk to UWE and get one of the Ulink buses into town. They are reasonably priced, but it will still take half an hour on bus.
What time are you likely to be in town?

right, i'll be driving to hotel after work on tuesday night, couple of drinks in the bar and then off to the course on weds morning - they generally finish around 4pm so i guess i could be in bristol city centre by 6.

I was on a train from Poole to Southampton last week. It stopped at Bournemouth.
That is all, film at 11.

Sort of. An unscheduled ferry trip from Cherbourg in order to avoid flying over the English channel at about 600 feet in a light aircraft with limited fuel in atrocious weather. That would have been much scarier than 2 1/2 hours of drinking Kronenbourg and watching the sea birds.
