Please! I know that some pockets aren't too deep at the minute and that times are tight, but i was hoping the good people of AWAG (there are still some out there) would sponsor me here : www.justgiving.com/Jonathen-HaighI'm a fully-fledged member of the cycling clique now and as such will be cycling from the Galpharm to the Withdean on April 27 to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. I hope to avoid britbyte when i arrive. Thanks everyone. I will make sure i give a as we pass through all the AWAG represented counties.

if you were walking or running then i'd probably spare a few quid but not for biking down.
Little Richie used to do that kind of distance for fun at a weekend didn't he?

Is it bollocks! Little rich could never do that kind of mileage. His little legs wouldn't make it. Sorry rich, if you still read this.
Would anything persuade you into giving a little something, merk? Perhaps a picture of me under the wheels of an eddie stobart truck?

that rower got twatted by the wing mirror of a big fuck off lorry in America so you shouldn't downplay the risks of riding a tricycle on roads no matter how easy it is in terms of endurance.
i'll sleep on it

That'll be a no then. Did my reply suggest i was being a touch cocksure? I can assure you, I'm not. If I reach London intact, I'll be astounded.

i don't really believe in charity in the same way that I don't believe in tipping.
I end up folding like a cheap suit on both counts so you may get lucky.

Well, I did it! In the end the journey was in excess of 300 miles. Thanks to those who have donated and to those who haven't, there's until the end of the month to do so, if you can.

Does all the money go to Yorkshire Air Ambulance or is 50% going to the Huddersfield Town academy?

I think it may be half, but the YAA still receives an extremely sizable donation to help them keep the choppers they have in active service. If it was up to me the academy would get only 5% of the total raised but it isn't so i can't affect that. All i can do is cycle the distance i did and raise as much as i possibly can. I'd say i'm only human but feeling no ill-effects from all that exercise, i'm clearly better than that. More like bionic.

I got in the local rag, but alas, failed to make the telly. I don't crave the fame.
