www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-12986314Caitlin, 28, from Manchester, has struggled with mental health problems since adolescence. But financial problems in the last year have made it worse and she has recently been prescribed anti-depressants. She used to work in a residential care home for children, but has been out of work for 12 months. Caitlin is now living on benefits totalling £140 a week, but the cost of her mortgage and other bills far outstrips this. It means she has built up debts of £10,000. She is currently doing voluntary work and studying, but has given up on getting a job in the immediate future because of the cuts to public services. "It is a really worrying time. I have never been out of work for this long and it puts a real strain on you." If this case study is typical then God help us - she needs smashing in the fucking face.

Debts of £10,000? Pah, that's chicken feed.
What don't you understand Merk? Somebody cuts their cloth according to the work that they do. That work goes, so they are left with overheads that they can't service and get into serious debt. I bet of those debts, at least 20% are charges.

She looked fairly fit though so lots of sympathy.

If she'd had cut her cloth according to the work that she did, she would have allowed a little extra and made provision for redundancy / unemployment and took out a mortgage payment protection policy. No sympathy

Given that she said the above is the main reason why I could quote easily smash her in the face. I cannot believe how fucking soft some of you c**** are to some utter, utter pricks.
Some of us have to work hard* for retards like this.

No sympathy Irritatingly I took out a redundancy insurance policy 2 days too late to be able to claim on it. Shame as the £65 monthly premium for £30k of benefits rather highlighted what poor value NI is.

I took one out when the credit crunch started to bite, being in sales, and selling a high end, high value, hand finished bespoke product into Yorkshire and the North east, I knew it was only a matter of time before I either got the push or got fed up with banging my head against a brick wall. I also topped it up so I get a bit of spend as well.
