Does anyone know if any of the other tunes by young american upstarts MGMT are as wondrous as that 'time to pretend' single?
Its like Grandaddy with added groove, which can only be a good thing

Yes, I strongly recommend you do
I can't vouch for the rest of their stuff but that song alone would make it worthwhile
There's an album out in a couple of weeks apparently

Does anyone know what the song is that's advertising Hollyoaks at the moment? The B-A-B-Y one. God it's insanely catchy.

I've hear more MGMT stuff now and there's a definite Grandaddy/Mercury Rev meets Air/M83 theme running through it, which does it for me
Album out next week, will report back
On the new band front does anyone know if any of the following are worth seeing:
Joe Lean and the jing jang jong
The Courteeners
The tings tings
Does it offend you, yeah? (worst name ever, I'm getting visions of annoying southern students dressed like extras from skins)
Glasvegas (I think I already like these)
Lightspeed Champion
I've already agreed to go and see all of these, I'm just wondering whether I've made a mistake

I think that B-A-B-Y song is "Brunettes Against Bubblegum Youth" by the Brunettes. I heard it on the radio last night and thought it was good. I've not seen the Hollyoaks advert though so I could be utterly wrong.
