There's nowt wrong wi the chips from our kebab house, especially if you adorn them with plenty of salt and chilli sauce. I've had no such luxury this evening though, had to scoop out supermarket ardennes pate with a teaspoon to accompany my whisky.

This may have been done before, but why is the phenomenon of chip spice still confined almost exclusively to 'ull?
People look at you blankly practically anywhere else in the world when you ask for it

I was about to say I don't know, but I just checked and bizarrely it has its own wiki-woo The people that own the co that makes this stuff must be the worst marketeers in the world, because as turtle says its totally addictive If Mcdonalds had invented it, the entire world would be having it on their cornflakes by now en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chip_spice

It's just normal talk for Hull. You get used to it after a while.
Nettles are called stingweed.

I'm intrigued by this chip spice stuff. First mayo, then garlic mayo, followed by cheese. Where will all these chip toppings end?

The only chip topping worth its salt is mushy peas.

I get looked at strangely for eating mushy peas. Southerners have no idea.

Never forget that they are the odd ones Bris. Mushy peas rule.
In seriousness, chip salt is horrible stuff. Avoid it.
