Just had our school's 30th Birthday 70s Disco Party Thing, and there was an ace song I really loved but Music Clique will probably hate. Now I wasn't discoing, I was in the classroom hastily fabricating something to say my class had made to put in the time-capsule, so I couldn't hear the words properly, but it sounded very chilled and lovely with a pretty funky bassline.
Any ideas? Want to give it a proper listen. I don't really know anything about 70s stuff, on account of not existing then.

Pusherman by Curtis Mayfield - not really appropriate for kids though

Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' often gets lumped in with the Disco stuff.

Couldn't be 100% sure about gender as I couldn't hear the singy bit so well, but if I had to put my money on the table I reckon it was a bloke.

No.
The Head just popped back into school so I asked. Don't need your help any more... thanks though. I may go home now.
