If the club read this board, can I suggest you start to train your staff that we are meant to be customers - not talked down to in the assumption you will keep coming to games because you are a fan.
Lost one season ticket off it today and unless I get something approaching an apology it will be two come the end of the season.
No doubt the push for partners is more important than looking after the suckers in the stands!

You want to tweet it to them, that gets they're attention

Why don't you write /e mail a Director with your problem instead of posting a half baked message that no one understands.

Are you going to tell us what they've done or do I have to start posting photoshopped pictures of you?

He must be one of those people who updates his Facebook status' with stuff like "can't believe what just happen it made me angry" - then when someone ask what the problem is they say "doesn't matter"

Have done Jim, thanks for your constructive input.
Danny - Row is over student season card. Lad has quit college to start work, offered to upgrade his ticket to an adult for the rest of the season and they want to backdate it to the first game. Plus the womans attitude stunk - implied it had been a ruse to get a cheap ticket and said I could please myself when I baulked. Her attitude was "well you will come anyway"

You shouldn't have said anything! Would they have noticed?

So basically they want to punish you and your lad for being honest and for him finding a job.

Doesn't sound good on the face of it and I can vouch for nt4 and his son being long standing Town fans who travel around the country supporting the team.
I never agreed with the student/discount rule - to me it should just be whether you qualify for the discount on the day of purchase (or a fixed date - say first game of the season) and that's that.

This is more of an anecdote rather than a complaint, as it happened such a long time ago, but I bought a bib from the shop ages ago, it said "Huddersfield's No.1 Foot-bawler". It wasn't for me by the way (!), but my Leed's supporting brother's new baby, in the hope I could save the poor thing from a lifetime of supporting L**ds.
Anyway, when I got it home I noticed that the one I'd picked up was faulty, in that the writing had been stitched really badly, and the top half of some of the words were not showing.
I took it back to the shop next game, and they were so unfriendly and genuinely vile about the whole thing I didn't buy anything there again in years. Having said all that, more recent times I've been in they've been very nice!

How dare you criticise Huddersfield Towns board of directors, shop employees, players because Dean reads this board & he won't be very happy.

Well if I havent had a response before Saturday I will be having a word in his ear as I am in the boardroom at Derby as we do a load of sponsorship with them. Could be awkward! :iconlol:

Her attitude was " well you will come anyway" Quite a common attitude these days i'm afraid. Me and 2 mates (all over 50) went to the Chilli Lounge in Town one Friday night a few weeks ago and were turned away because it was too late. It was 11 o'clock when we arrived and their closing time is 12.00. Even if we'd turned up at 5 to 12 you would have thought they would make the effort to feed us, whatever happened to customer service? When I told them what I thought of them one of them just said 'you'll be back' in a smart arsed tone. I assured them there was no way I would ever eat there again, it's not that good anyway. Whatever happened to decent late night curry houses in Town?

True story: Kerry Packer was in the UK entertaining 8 or 9 of his guests on a Sunday. His chef had the night off, so he went into town but the local restaurant was closed. He rang the bell and asked the owner if he could cook 10 steaks, and would make it worth his while. The owner refused. He found another restuarant, also closed, and made the same offer to the owner.
The owner opened the restaurant for Packer and his guests. At the end of the meal, he gave him a cheque for £10,000 on condition that he showed the first restaurant owner the cheque before he banked it.
It pays to treat your customers well!

I'm just amazed you actually told them he had left college. Football prices are too expensive as it is without volunteering to pay more!

Sounds unfortunate, but I've never come across anyone working for HTAFC who's been anything less than polite and heplful when I've spoken to them or put any queries to them.

Did I hear right - there's a curry house in Huddersfield called the 'chilli lounge'
When did it get all trendy? That's an embarrassing name for any self respecting curry house.

Because nt4 is honest and fair (despite being a dirty cheat on a football pitch and a fat bazza to boot), and his lad is the same, and they expect to get similar treatment back I'd guess. I've not spoken to him but guessing he went along fully prepared to pay some kind of uplift proportionate with the number of games remaining....the response of asking him to shell out for a full season ticket is taking the pish.

These are the "1 percents" that Clibbo was talking about I guess. Sorry Mel don't get this comment at all. If you're suggesting the club only had to improve 1% to have behaved reasonably in this situation then you (and Clibbens) are miles off. Their attitude stinks like three week old fish. HTFC are getting more like a business than a club with each passing day and what makes it worse is that (IMHO) they're the worst kind of business, one that takes their customers for granted & thinks they can treat them like sh8*te but they'll keep coming back (which TBF I suppose I do ). I've said before on this board, if I ever stopped having a season ticket it would not be sh8*te football that would be the reason but the arrogant and often unfair administration of the club (sorry) business. The club (to their very great credit and I applaud them on that point) have treated you and yours very very well but TBF I think you're kidding yourself if you believe your customer experience is anything close to the norm.

Fair play to him. I'm honest and fair to people/organisations who are honest and fair to me and modern day football is far from honest and fair so il continue to look for ways to save a few quid. From the reaction he got I bet Nt4 wishes he had stayed schtum.

A couple of months back, me and a mate arrived at Chili Lounge about 11:15pm on a Friday night. Didn't think they'd serve us but they did. It was the quickest service and one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had. Had starters and a main.
Been a load of times - probably my favourite place to eat in Town. I've recommended it to everyone.
I've never had bad service or a bad meal.
