Might be a reason why Villa took him & then Steve Bruce never really played him again. Saying that he's not really played that much in any of the last 3 seasons.
2016/17 - First season at Villa. 26 appearances. Didn't really play after Steve Bruce appointed in Nov - & transfer listed him
2017/18 - Villa 4 appearances
2017/18 - Reading (Jan 2018 on loan for rest of season) 4 appearances
2018/19 - Hull (season long loan) 18 appearances
Do wonder why he was signed - hardly someone who is going to play 40+ games?? Obviously a reason why Steve Bruce didn't fancy him & despite what we think of Bruce, he should know a thing or two about a centre half.

He also played 11 games for Villa last season but I get your point and agree. He looked a bit Hudson-esque last night, just prior to when Wagner pulled the plug on him. Strange signing for a 1st pick centre-half. |
