When did Diarra get injured? That's a lot staying. I'd be concerned they just wont get game time with the First Team, so they'll just end up playing B team matches and their development will stagnate.. And with them playing for the B Team, the other kids wont be playing He got injured last week, out for 4-6 weeks Yeah I’m not a fan of the B Team system tbh. The matches aren’t even half competitive. And they’re more liable to being called off I like the idea of the B Team, however, I don't think Town have quite got the formula right as yet as, like you say, there's not enough competitive football. Or even matches against top quality opposition. Hence why I'm hoping a number of the lads will get out on Loan.

And with them playing for the B Team, the other kids wont be playing Must admit, for all that I wasn't happy at the time with Crichlow being dumped into the 4th tier - I would rather he was tested in the 3rd - at least he's going to be getting regular first team football. I'm surprised and disappointed that there haven't been more loans for our young players. Does anyone have the inside track on this? Is there a lack of demand from 3rd, 4th, 5th ... tier clubs for loan players this season? What about Scotland? Are we no longer actively looking as hard for loans for our youngsters? Are we preferring to delay until nearer deadline day?

What happened to the original plan of the b team travelling the continent to play different styles of football and teams. They used to go to a few tournaments and played Bayern munich etc. now covid restrictions are done is this not the plan?
Otherwise they just play academies of smaller northern teams and enter the fa youth cup and premier league cup.
If the plan is the same as last year then i agree with the sentiment that the ones turning 20 this season desperately need to be playing a higher grade of football on loan. Otherwise they’re just repeating the last three seasons

Great to see the continuity the club wants by having the juniors play the same way as the seniors tonight, the hierarchy will be delighted with the mirror image.

Bad defeat tonight 5-1 for Worksop and sounded like Chapman was MOTM.. Young team but still if these lads want professional careers - let alone careers at championship level - then they should be able to give Worksop a competitive game Yes they are not as physically as strong as adults but our lads are full time athletes with access to top end fitness equipment and nutritional experts. They were playing a bunch of part timers who won’t have anywhere near the same fitness levels or you would hope technique As you say a bad defeat

Rowe, Spencer, Ayina and Grant are 4 players in particular that I would really like to see go out on loan somewhere this season.
I can't see that neverending B Team football is developing them nearly as much as first team football elsewhere would.

Just a hunch, or is there more to that statement? Lees is suspended & Pearson injured but there's still REG & Turton available for RCB, with Boyle & Nakayama for left sided. I'm guessing Nakayama on the left with any two from REG, Turton & Boyle taking the other two centre back slots - the other one on the bench, and Hogg able to slot into a back 3. I don't see Ayina getting in unless there's something I've missed. As for Grant, we've got Tino, Rudi, Sorba, possibly Mahoney & Koroma & now Jones ahead of him in the pecking order for two slots, with Rowe & Aarons also waiting in the wings (pun intended). Not all of them are going to get a look in. Some need a loan. All need first team football somewhere this season.

Grant looks closest, although I suspect Mahoney will come into the squad once they get his fitness levels up. I'd expect both Rowe and Aarons to leave permanently either in this or the January window as neither appear to be anywhere near the squad. Ayina might be needed as we appear to be running out of defenders, especially if he's got a bit of a presence about him. Lees has had an iffy start to the season. REG looks way slower than I thought he was. Boyle is not very quick, but his size will be a help.

Why have Town not tweeted updates on this game since they announced the lineup?
What was the Rangers team?

Will be on catch up, really good insight, some of the parents are way too involved!!! We watched the third one in the series last night. It's a very interesting series - good insight in to what's going on behind the scenes. And, yes, some parents need to take a long hard look at themselves. Is it the child's dreams, or their own dreams they are trying to fulfil?
