mentioned it on another thread but thought it might be good to have a dedicated thread for the academy and development squad to discuss results, players to watch and follow development etc in one place? canalside will hopefully mean more people watch their games/training so we should have more info/opinion.
maybe admin could pin it?

Well this thread is actually a very good idea - which makes me question what it is doing on our forum..
Good work Ritchie - prob won't contribute with updates that much but will keep an interested eye on it....

No sign of the HTFC side - could have been littered with trialists, local players and 15/16 year olds.

0-0 for the development squad this afternoon in Nottingham.Played 35 minutes with 10 men after Lloyd Allinson was sent off.Wilczynsk came on and saved the penalty.Sounds like town created plenty of chances and put in a decent performance.

Sinnott scored for Bury. Could be a good loan spell for him.

Is Regan Booty Martin's son? Very unusual surname if not.

Smashing young shot stopper is Wilczynski. Town have done very well with youth keepers over the years, a few of them gaining International recognition.

Not that I've seen that much of him, but from what I have seen and heard, Wilczynski looks a very good prospect, and could quite easily end up becoming 2nd choice behind Smithies over the next couple of seasons, perhaps even really push for a starting place.

Last month we had a lad called Robbie McDaid on trial. He's now on trial at Reading. Wonder if we have missed out. Time will tell.

I watched the U21 pre-season friendly at Dulwich. Allinson didn't impress me at all, didn't command his area and doesn't look strong enough to be a goalie. Wilczynski came on after about an hour and, by contrast, really looked the part. Perfect build for a goalie, strong and confident and made two-or-three excellent saves.
