RE: Programme notes concerning atmosphere at the "Galpharm" Stadium.
Dear Mr. Jarvis,
It would help if the club didn't send three or four stewards up to the "singing section" telling anyone who stands up to sing, to sit down.
Bit of a passion killer.
Hope this helps.
TWB.

There were loads of stewards and police at the top end of the "singing section" yesterday. As soon as the match kicked off they were barking their orders for us all to sit down. Thanks to Beckett I think they soon realised that they were going to be fighting a losing battle and they soon disappeared ;D
One more thing to take note of Sean, the vast majority of people who go to games don't buy programmes or get a chance to read them. Any initiatives, consultation, revealing of ambitious plans simply will not out into the wider arena. Is this something you wish to address or is it a deliberate tactic to keep most of us in the dark?

A winning team, trying their best and playing attractive football wouldn't do any harm, either! Too logical for the Town hierarchy to grasp, perhaps?

Sorry about this DJay, but I've got to say, a scoreboard change would probably the last thing I would say to Mr. Jarvis.

They could just change some of the lightbulbs! Can't be that hard surely. I'll do it myself if they want!
(Disclaimer: If Sean Jarvis DOES read this and DOES want me to change them myself I was only joking, I don't want to. However I will spend the next 5 minutes thinking up a "How many Galpharmers does it take to change a lightbulb" type joke)

There is a clear confusion with the Stewarding of the singing section, and the promoting by the club for the singing section which is incredibly confusing. By definition, to have a 'singing section' means people will stand to sing...how many Choirs sit down when singing ?!. Therefore why do the club promote the singing section, yet apparantly instruct stewards and police to tell people to sit down or be removed. You cannot have both.
The club needs to address this issue.

The majority of Birmingham fans stood for most of the game as is often the case in the away end, totally unfair in comparision to the home fans.

To be fair to the club, its not down to the club if fans stand or not, its down to the FA. Because we're all in an all seater stadium we all have to sit down. Personally i've no probelm with people standing unless it obscures the person's behind view, then its really annoying.
