why are so many on here so shocked about today ?
why are we so arrogant, SWFC have gone 9 away games unbeaten by beating us comfortably.
we are a work in progress, very average with no goal threat at the moment imo.
They looked like they could have had a few more today.

i think we think we have come so far (or so the club keep telling us) and yet we lose at home...again. Not only lose but to one of the teams below us. We keep being expected to turn up week in week out and yet the players fail to do so.

Seriously, we know they are a decent side now Jones has been chopped and they've strengthened well in Jan and built on that. As long as we stay up, that's the bottom line. Build again in the summer.

lets just keep banging the ball wide to Dixon watch him run down the pitch and try kick the ball near someone who isnt there,,or we could pass the ball around at the back nervously then back to Smithies to boom it to no one,maybe kick the ball to Nahkis head near the halfway line and watch him get frustrated,mean while our most exciting midfielder is at Yeovil getting tanked up on cider

Can't believe some of the tripe i have read on here tonight, Total over reaction, Sitting midtable, We got beat today, Is that not allowed? individual mistakes by PC who has been a great servant for this club and will prob be released at the end of the season, However i am sure he feels bad enough about his mistakes and unlike some other pro's will take it personally, He deserves a bit more respect than the crap been posted on DATM tonight. The team is having a blip at the moment what with Wells not scoring, Ward trying to prove a point in a position he has been asked to play, Midfield not clicking at moment, Goal keeper making errors the list is endless, But it will come good, I said at start of season i would take a midtable finish, Infact i would take fourth from bottom as long as we stay in the division, But we will finish much higher than that. If you were a QPR fan i could understand the moaning etc what with the blip they are having and dropping further down the play offs after been in the top two most of the season, Its second season boys and girls and i am sure you will see a whole new back line for next season and poss a new keeper aswell. No game is a given is it, Just ask the QPR fans who traveled to Charlton.

All clubs are in the process of acquiring or offloading players so they are the same in the progress stakes? All we know is we need to be tougher to beat and scoring goals again especially at home.

I think the deluded fans are those that think everything is ok and we are doing fine. We need to get back to performing something like we can, and quickly.

last 2 home games goals for nil against 5 ?? work in progress, defo What's the last 2 home games (in isolation) got to do with anything? You could have mentioned the 3 before that, which were all won. Or the home games all season - which produced 7 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats, a perfectly reasonable return in the Championship.

simply put;
you have to expect to beat teams below you in the league in your home games.
you have to set up the team and the tactics to do that in the full and clear expectation that they will produce enough to win the game.
the supporters have the right to expect a great deal more in "intent and performance" than we produced yesterday.
I expect town to try and approach every game with the "intention" of trying to win it, albeit using slightly different tactics/formations away from home/against the obviously better sides but I do expect and demand a great deal more of everything involved in a professional football team than we produced yesterday. bottom line, sorry we are in the same league and desperately poor performances with little inspiration/perspiration are not acceptable...

Whilst I accept we will win some, lose some and draw some I cannot accept an apparent lack of desire to compete in some games. We were second best in nearly every challenge and most of the team seemed incapable of doing even the simple things right. Wednesday came up with a plan B when they realised we were out playing them for the first half hour and we can surely learn from that. Hopefully we will soon have enough points to feel safe and then we can experiment with some of our fringe players. One things for certain we need changes down the spine of the team when we get the chance to do so in the summer. Onwards and upwards.
