Just had a thought. Instead of just recruiting the one manager, perhaps we ought to recruit 2 or 3 managers. Then when one of them is off form, or just shit in general, we can replace him with the other for a few games, until he starts being shit, then on to the next one. It's no different than having multiple players for each position, as similarly we could have a mixture of types of manager and use them for specific types of games. Top of the league away? No problem, we chuck our defensively minded 0-0 expert manager into the fray, who doesn't know how to attack to save his life but he can organise a defence like a chess champion. Bit of flair required to stuff bottom of the table stragglers at home? No worries, just hand the reins over to our attacking expert who knows sod all about defence, apart from score more than them. Etc. etc. It might be bonkers but I'm off to try to tout the idea to manager less clubs for a cut

You might be joking but I saw a feature on sky sports news today about Ajax academy
Each age group doesn't have just one coach, it has four. They rotate every six weeks. Brings a fresh approach to training, keeps the players on their toes and different coaches see different strengths and weaknesses in the players

Perhaps that's the plan with Thompson, Lillis, Eyre etc. and Robins wasn't keen on sharing

Some may argue that the "too many cooks" approach isn't serving us brilliantly at present

One turd is very much like another.
