All 'key contenders' (low odds managers)could, should & would have been in place by now if they were in the frame ie. before end of transfer window. Intended target is either still in employment or is tied up in sh*t. My bet is MM - high profile appt. - looking to get foot back on managerial ladder after cock up at Cardiff (where Iain Moore is obviously the main culprit for the racist/sexist texts etc)he's got history with RW and last but not least I've got a £10 bet on him at 20-1!!....Dean Hoyle IMO is waiting for some sort of clearance from FA regarding his misdemeanours or otherwise?  no idea, but that is certainly not the most obtuse theory posted on datm lately. the suspense is nail biting  |

They always announce the manager around lunch time don't they? Surprised if it's announced tonight with no press conference. Perhaps it's a shite appointment and they're going to do it at midnight to keep publicity as low as possible |

Newsnetwork gets the scoop again. I hope you havent all been lumping on Powell.. Mario Been is still my choice from the 3 as it also covers the dutch lad as well.... Must be close to an announcement, The longer they have working with the team before the first game the better. Are you sure he's not going to Fulham? mowbray is the seccond one. |

It's taken so long... and Powell has been the favourite for so long. I'll actually be pissed off if it's him now. He's abit of a drab appointment.... if it's Mario been, Neil Lennon, malky mackay or Kluivert I'd be happy.

Powell, been and another have been back for interview.... club done well keeping this one so tight. They have done a great job of keeping it under wraps which seems to be the pattern with incoming players too for Town. Whoever it is I hope it is announced soon so he has time to work with the players before the next game. I also hope that everyone gets behind the appointment and gives them a chance even if it is not someone they would have picked. |
