Emotions are running high and the general mood is understandably dour tonight but I have a naive and fanciful suggestion, why don't we take DATM off line for 2 months and let the powers that have the time and space to improve things?
It seems to me the endless debate and focus on the negative is not helping anyone, although I understand the negativity overall.
The powers that be can be in no doubt of where the 1st team stand and Powell has stated we 2-3 players. The board additionally know selling season tickets, partnerships and commercial deals will be significantly tougher. The board need to act in order to address the slide.
I appreciate that there are plenty of opportunities to debate and express views elsewhere but if we accept the board and Powell know this continuing could have far ranging consequences for the club I suggest we let them get on with it,
I'm not blaming the DATM at all but the chance take a step back may be beneficial. Arguing among ourselves maybe fun but is counter producyive.
In an ideal world some space and reflection would be great, I know it won't happen but it's worth thinking about.
For me there is much to improve, and as a result I'm sitting back and seeing what develops. Back in a few weeks.

What is the point in having a forum where only positives can be debated? Most folk come on here after forking out a fortune to liaise with fellow town fans so they don't have to suffer the agony of supporting a shit team alone.
As long as the negatives stay on here who cares?

Instead of focusing on what's being said on here the powers that be should concentrate on the shambles that is our first team. As far as I'm concerned our chairman is just looking for an out by constantly focusing on the negativity of a few fans. He built up a business from nothing to hundreds of millions - don't tell me he didn't come across far worse negativity than this along the way.

My faith on DATM has been restored by a thread started by a new poster who supports Leeds. Good debate on their and interesting discussion, certainly better than the snipes and personal imsults on others.
The problem is that people take things far too serious on here. Everyone has probably posted something that they regret....I know I often wake up on a Sunday morning with a sore head and think what the f*ck did I write?
This is the only Town forum I input into but you will find the Facebook 'smile a while' forum probably has mpre posters but is far more crazy then what DATM could ever be.

I very much doubt what is said on DATM is having a significantly detrimental affect on the team or the club as a whole.
Yes, DATM can be a negative place when Town are not doing well - and I have contributed fully to that over the past week despite usually being a reasonably balanced poster (IMO, of course!) - but it is a discussion forum for all supporters, positive, negative or somewhere in between, to air their views and vent some of their frustrations. That is the nature of all football message boards.
I make no apologies for venting my frustrations on here from time to time. I try to balance my criticism with positives when I can, but at the moment I see little to be positive about. I don't boo the team or abuse players at matches so I need somewhere to blow off a bit of steam, and I suspect others use DATM in a similar way.
DATM is generally a very good message board with plenty of good posters making good points. To take it down would be a real shame for any length of time and I'm glad it won't ever happen. I've been posting on here since Geoff originally set up the site in the late '90s and have continued to visit through good and bad times. Over the years its made me mad, it made me smile and its sometimes been an eye opener - but its always been worth visiting. And long may it continue.

DATM has been a useful tool for fans and the Club down the years. FFA and the shares issue was massively reliant on using DATM, Club directors have been on to discuss things with fans, the south stand trial, players family members have used it to offer their thanks for support, the NSL I doubt would ever have been created, Millbridge and in latter years BOD squad too. I went through the archives of a certain 'jackass' a few months back. His first few posts when he was merely acting as a 'fan in the know' and talks of rumours of a possible takeover. It is on the whole a very good platform for suppoters and has superseded the examiners letter page. The Club needs this forum too and I hope they realise it's importance.

Why would you come and read this as a town director? You must be mad. It would be like having a hotel that's 5 star and serving up 2 star service and then looking at trip advisor reviews. You can't hide a poor squad, poor management and poor board decisions. So you either improve or accept the criticism. To serve up 2 star football when we have been promised 5 star is the root of the problem. Not the fans, not the facilities.
The club is a joke at the moment. As it stands I wouldn't have booked my room for the winter I'd have gone somewhere with better reviews....... Leeds and that says it all. They are in a better position than us with a loon in charge.

The recipe for success on here is very simple. Post your views, whatever they may be, but leave abuse of one another at the door. Too many posters more interested in a fight than an argument.
