You won't see him this side of Christmas Nick.

Sounds as though it's a struggle for him, "monotonous", "different voice" and "fresh perspective".
He's only human after all and it can't be easy, but unsure as to why so many shot down the arguments previously put forth suggesting his problems were perhaps not only physical but also mental.
It's difficult to see him continuing as a professional for too much longer, unfortunately.

Thank god And Deano that we got Holt , not Rocket science needing a strong workhorse of a striker.

Realistically, had Vaughan always been injury-free then we would have been very unlikely to have signed him. With the lack of strikers faced by England in recent years, it's not too extreme to say that he would have won a cap or two and certainly be playing in the EPL.
As it is, his injuries have hindered his development which lead to him ending up with us.
We took the gamble and IMO it has paid off (scored 14 first year and 10 last year, a goal every two games) when fit. We were unestablished in the Championship and weren't spoilt for choice when it came to signing proven goalscorers. I'm still amazed that we've snatched Holt, although now we have been here for a couple of seasons, it does get easier.
We knew JV was unlikely to be a 46 games a season guy. He did what we needed from him in the past two seasons, though the financial outlay now seems a little heavy considering the other options available to us (Wells, Holt)

After reading the article CP says that he wants JV 100% fit not 99% fit.Interesting comment from Alan Shearer the other week who said" no player is ever 100% fit. Is it a tall order getting JV anywhere near even 99%?

Isn't it heartwarming to read comments like those of Alex......
I've never made a rude, personal comment on DATM, but I'm pretty close to doing so.
Think about the MAN!

We have always had to rush him back in the past. Now with Holt we don't need to can hopefully let him recover better.
That's surely got to be worth a shot. If that doesn't work I don't know what will

The free agents list & see if anyone else takes a gamble on him if that answers your question.

It's a massive shame what has happened to Vaughan (not just here). Without this luxury item we would've gone down for the last 2 seasons which seems to be so easily forgotten when someone else comes in and plays well. Think what this team would be like with someone that scored 11 goals in their first 12 games last season, don't get me wrong Holt has been superb but a front 3 of Scannell, Vaughan and Bunn would be very exciting to watch.
I think his own eagerness is his downfall at times, this season he's appeared 4 times and looked frustrated each time (3 bookings as well) at his lack of been able to get about the pitch like he normally does/wants to and I don't think he's been fit enough to have appeared this season but wanted to. With Holt tied down until for a couple of months it gives time for Powell and everyone else to assess Vaughan properly and get him right physically and mentally (for someone who clearly loves his football and has the opportunity to play it won't be easy for him) and maybe work on something to adapt his game a bit to keep injuries down to get him hopefully something close to the start of last season. Maybe I'm being too optimistic but there's obviously still some hope even though it doesn't sound good for the immediate future.
He's played 67 games in about 2 and a third seasons, it's not great but there's players with worse injury records and to say we should just pay him and get rid is very disrespectful to someone that has done a lot for us (he could've easily gone to a bigger club after his loan spell) and has always given his all on the pitch.

It's now 7 weeks since JV injured himself by jumping for a ball and then presumably landing awkwardly, and the club still have no idea when he might be fit to play. All we are told is that James has a calf injury. It all sounds pretty vague to me: what sort of soft muscle injury to a fit young man takes months to sort itself out? I genuinely believe the medical people at the club either do not understand what the injury is or if they do, they don't know how to treat it. As I have said previously, even broken legs do not take this long to heal. It's damn frustrating to me and no doubt more so to JV.
If I were Dean I'd look round for a non-orthodox medical expert. In my experience these people know far more about the human body and how it works/what treatments to give than our orthodox trained doctors, most of whom don't have a clue because they have been trained into a corrupt system that deals only in toxic drugs and palliatives.

it's a mystery as to what the specific problem is..because every time he does get injured it takes months to sort it out, and even then it's only temporary. There is obviously an underlying issue behind all this. If there was a solution he would have been sent to a specialist and had it remedied by now..but it seems, from the outside, there is no cure for him. ..whatever it is that's wrong with him, and makes it almost impossible for him to recover from an injury. seems like it's incurable. I guess St georges's is the last chance. which would be a crying shame..my only question is, why wasn't he sent there 12 months ago..?
i certainly wish him the best of luck anyway...

Perform at St. George’s Park is a world-class sports medicine, rehabilitation and human performance facility. Included amongst the centre’s cutting-edge facilities and services are: anti-gravity treadmill, altitude centre, under-water treadmill and hydrotherapy suite, strength and conditioning gym, biomechanical assessments and applied GPS and heart-rate monitors. Bespoke player packages are available as well as other services. Very nice hotel and restaurant too... no need to feel too sorry for J.V. - Maybe, just maybe, they can sort his problem out?

What a disgusting way of expressing yourself. Realistically I feel many fear that JV`s career may be curtailed but that is a downright disgrace to a player who has played a pivotal part at Town.

Explain yourself which toxic drugs etc has JV been given suicide
