Whoever started this Hanson rumour must be rolling on the floor in hysterics by now.

I think your city mate was winding you up. Hanson wouldn't even get on our bench.

thats even funnier!!!
Hanson is a much better player than most on here realise, but he's injury prone & unproven at this level...IMO worth Stead + 200k
I bet they are creaming themselves on their forum at the thought of the initial rumour but if Deano wants Hanson he'll get him & pull their pants down AGAIN

He's played 270 games in the last six years... Stead is in his 30s and in the last year of his contract so him plus 200k would be a joke. Hardly pulled our pants down with Wells. He can't even get in your team and we used the money to sign Mclean, oh ****.

He was injured last season & still injured now, so that to me counts as injury prone currently...& we already have Vaughan Deano massively pulled your pants down with Wells, Powell just needs to find the system to play him, I know he can score goals at this level

Doyle from chesterfield would be a good signing but I'd take hanson for 300/400k and give them stead and possibly ward! I'd love to keep holt but can't see that happening, would have loved him on loan for the season!

He's decent and if the club think he's good enough for the championship at a good price then they should go for it. The fact that he's a Town fan is a bonus and practically guarantees he will always give his all every game.

this is probably dependant on Vaughan..if Vaughan can play a reasonable amount of games(I know).... then hanson would be a back up..
if Vaughan cant get anything like fit and holt goes back we should be looking for someone else.. doyle at chesterfield, make en an offer..

The fact that he's a Town fan is a bonus and practically guarantees he will always give his all every game. Well, yes, if the club think he's good enough for the championship & can get him at a good price. I'm just not convinced that: a) He's good enough for the Championship. Squad player perhaps, but I'd hope that if we're going to bring somebody in - particularly in such a key position, that they'd be good enough to lead the line as a first team regular. From what I've seen, I don't think he is. b) That we'd get him for a good price. Didn't he sign a long term deal with them around the time we signed Nahki?

Dean was on his way over to Valley Parade with his cheque book but his missus beat him there with a purse full of loose change. Hanson is in the bag folks..

Not against the idea of signing Hanson- think hes a lot better than some of you are making out. but hes a £300-400k player at the most. I have to agree with this. Not sure I understand the negativity Hanson probably isn't near my top 5 choices but if we can't get Holt and Vaughan isn't fit I'd much prefer Hanson at a decent price ahead of the plan b & c we had after christmas last year (which were either Nahki on his own or Nahki + Ward).
