1.1 million plus stead plus pato.
From a city fan at work.
Seems very specific to be made up.

Hahaha somebody at the club would want sacking if we spent that on him he's gash, I'd be gutted if we even spent 100k on him.

stead and pato valued at 'nothing' and Hanson overpriced by at least 750k or probably more??? Dean will still be laughing...or ringing back to make sure it wasn't a 'prank call'....to be honest they can have stead and pato, it gets them off the payroll..
we will take Hanson and deano promises to buy at least 3/4 full price season tickets for valley parade, that should knock up the matchday income to some tune, even if they stay empty seats???

he is 28 I think.. not even one for the future..we would always be better off paying holts wages to the end of the season and then looking around again..
this obsession because stead has gone on loan there has to stop.. we want stead off the books, not hanson to come here, the two are in no way, imo, related..

I'm sure I've read on another thread that someone was chatting to Dean at halftime on Saturday and he said that Holt would definitely be going back to Wigan in Jan and we were actively seeking a replacement, as Vaughan wouldn't be ready by then.

Dean seems to openly discuss town business quite a lot.. id prefer he explain some of the deals etc after they are done rather than tell the world what we are planning to do in the future..
ie; I don't actually believe it. Holt staying or going may well be a done thing, I don't think he would talk about it openly, till its general knowledge.

Hanson could help out in the club shop midweek, filling the shelves and the like. He's got good retail experience from his Co-op days. He'd have to justify his £6.35 an hour wages somehow.

I've been in his presence a few times and confirm he does (rightly or wrongly) speak very openly about these things. So I can't see any reason not to believe it unless the person on the other thread was winding it up.

Not against the idea of signing Hanson- think hes a lot better than some of you are making out. but hes a £300-400k player at the most.

Perhaps the bulk of the fee is an inducement to Bradford to take Stead/Pato......stick another half million on, and they might take a few more of our dross.

Laughable. Just laughable. Pato and Stead haven't dug up any trees here but each has achieved more than Hanson. If the deal was Hanson for Stead AND Pato then if anything, Bradford should be paying the balance imo.

I suppose his value is set by how much he's worth to Bradford and I think he's pretty integral to their plans. He's still contracted for two and a half years so I honestly think they'd be expecting upwards of £750k which is a big gamble for us. But if we want a player to play the big man role like Holt, there aren't many alternatives. We may have to take that gamble.
At 27 he could still get a bit better. I know Bradford fans who say they are glad we got wells and not hanson, probably sour grapes but from what they say it seems Hanson offers a lot more than a goal threat from set pieces.
The main things Holt has brought to us is the ability to hold the ball up front and relieve the pressure on our midfield and defenders; or simply give defenders something to worry about, allowing other members of the team to find space and get forward. Hanson sounds to do a similar job for Bradford but whether he could do the job as well as Holt is highly debatable. I can't say I've enough of him to form a solid opinion.

I can help but feel that this signing would be absolutely terrible. Surely, surely, this would show a lack of intent. Hanson is nowhere near championship standard. If a Holt-esque player (of his standard too) is deemed to be required then surely we'd have to be prepared to pay upwards of 1.5 mill. Hanson isn't either good enough or worth that amount of money
