We've already played against Matt Glennon, Paul Rachubka, Andy Butler, Liam Cooper, Tom Clarke, Nathan Clarke, Anthony Kay, Chris Atkinson, Gary Roberts, Theo Robinson and Benik Afobe this season. On Saturday, Mark Robins and David Mirfin come to VP, we'll try beat them for you.

Beat them for yourselves, we've no beef with either*
*There's going to be a cavalcade of Robins discussion to follow, I suspect.

There's a fair few of our existing first team squad that I'd envisage you meeting next season, also.

Complete side note; when was the last truly competitive game between ourselves? I distinctly remember Chris Waddle fluking in two in the top corner, from corners, in youth

Two minute turnaround after utter Bradford domination for a long old time (that Lee Mills effort off the bar, too...woof). Did the job for me, but can understand it feeling a bit empty from the other end. Not as good as the other, but a fine match.

Recall one of your goals been controversial. Throw in going to you instead of us maybe. Facey was involved I think.

Was right in front of us, for what it's worth; whatever controversy (and it was never one you could guarantee either way), if your lot had played the ball instead of the decision it might have been different.

Shows how long since we did have a decent game. JPT pens win was good but low crowd and rubbish cup. Most others you have won comfortably and the two we won in League One were both quite dull really.

That Owen Morrison one at ours was an appalling match. There was a not-bad one at Valley Parade when Bobby Petta scored, too.

Lacked any kind of atmosphere. (Just checked and it was - also 10 years to the day...) Petta one was on sky. Seem to remember Claridge getting stick for diving despite a bad challenge on him.

No, Claridge got stick for being Claridge; any of his actions within the game were purely incidental. The Morrison one was a drab affair. Remember looking at the away end, and it was packed but (and I mean this innocently, because your colours are generally so bright) utterly dull. I guess it must have been cold enough for the dark-coloured thick winter coats, but that didn't help.

Genuine question - have any ex Bradford players played against us this season?

If you scaled it up, the diaspora of ex-Town players is probably greater than the Jewish diaspora.....:-}

I remember that 0-0 match at Bradford in late 70s when we were in the steep banked open end . At half time i went for a piss,and after going through a corrigated iron opening, i was suprised to see that everybody was expected to piss over the edge of a banked cliff. I honestly could not tell the difference between the ground and that of one massive toilet.
