I have recieved a few emails and saw the comment below about ticket allocation for away games.
Sue B is on holiday at the moment - but on her return will be sitting down and trying to work something out and will publicise via website and local press.
Finally please make sure you pick up your sticker or if you can't get to the stadium drop us a line on info@htafc.com with your address and we'll post them out. We are very keen to get thousand of cars around the UK promoting Town.
Cheers
Sean

Lessons weren't learnt for the Leeds game at Home when Leeds Fans tryed to get Tickets in the Home End. She can count herself very lucky that Leeds didn't get a late equaliser at the end of the game.

I'd just like to say that I have nothing but praise for the ticket office staff, always been most helpful and courteous on the countless occasions that I have been down there/rung up. A big thanks to all

I think a lot of Leeds fan may well reside in Huddersfield or in surrounding areas, its pretty hard to stop away fans getting tickets the only way I can see really is only sell tickets to people already on the database, but then again they are on the database now!
Also why the need for Capital letters in the Middle of sentences?

I think you are being very harsh on Sue and the team. I have found them very helpful on the numerous occasions I have spoken to them for tickets or help with other requests.
In addition many Leeds supporters came to the Galpharm as 'guests' of home supporters.
I had two with me in the Panasonic and they behaved very well and were very sporting at the end.
It's no different to when we went to Elland Road last season and mark my words that this season when we score at ER you will notice pockets of town fans all around the ground.
Sue and the girls are a credit to the club!

Give em a break CING - Leeds fans were visible in home areas at a number of grounds last season and ours (being the closest!) was always going to see bigger numbers. As has been posted before, many leeds fans live in outer areas of kirklees and there wasnt alot they could do about them buying tickets - particularly when town fans didnt want them themselves given the rubbish mr ritchie served up most of the season!! The ticket office staff will have to sharpen their act up this year, a point which SMJ acknowledges in his earlier post. We have a great platform to move onwards and upwards - lets all be sensible and help us all get where we want to be!!!

Yes as I said before I sent a message and Sean J has assured me there will be no problems. The handling of the General Sale Tickets for the Chelsea Match was 5 Times worser than the Leeds Match and Me along with quite a few other Supporters were not impressed with Her attitude. How can the Ticket Office possibly get an award last Season if we were breaking records for the lowest crowds ever at the Pharm

I think Change is not good has got a good point about the problems re:ticketing last season. But i think the meeting SMJ1 is having is to try and eleviate part of the problem as far as the allocation of tickets is concerned. At least the club is trying to solve the issues Supporters have had so i can't knock em.

Given the fact that it is simply impossible to please everyone, I think that you are being very harsh in your criticism. It doesn't matter how the tickets are allocated, if there are more people wanting tickets than there are tickets, then some people are inevitably going to be disappointed. Try putting yourself into the shoes of the hard working ticket office staff and just imagine what it must be like for them faced with large numbers of disaffected people all asking the same questions over and over again. They are not saints and are bound to get fed up from time to time. By the way, if you think that Town didn't do a very good at allocating tickets last year, then try talking to a few Barnsley fans about the way they allocated the Liverpool tickets. In comparison, the allocation method was bl**dy marvellous. I'm both a season ticket holder and a blue and white foundation member of many years standing, but I don't go to many away games. I think the allocation method was pretty fair last year and very well advertised in advance. It's going to be a lot harder this year with there being so many more 'new' season ticket holders and there will probably be a lot more unhappy supporters as a result. Hard to see a better solution that would not be unreasonably bureaucratic.

Can't see it being much harder to get away tickets myself, unless we get a storming start and are top of league with 30 points after 10 games?
The away support will not grow overnight and all the usual travellers will have ticket stubs so i can't really see a problem for the usual away fans, a lot of worrying for nothing! Can anyone see us taking over 1500 to Colchester then?

It's going to be a lot harder this year with there being so many more 'new' season ticket holders and there will probably be a lot more unhappy supporters as a result. Hard to see a better solution that would not be unreasonably bureaucratic. I will say it again! They did an excellent job with handling Tickets last year an the Seasons previous. My opinion was that the handling of "General Sale Tickets" for the Chelsea Match was under par. They didn't say how many Tickets were left for General Sale on the Town Website the day before they went on General Sale, the Club didn't have any Stewards to keep Fans informed on the Day of General Sale of what was going on. They also gave Fans 10 Tickets each and excepted calls by Phone when they went on "General Sale", this did not make sense as there were people that took time of work and had been cueing since 6.30am to get a Ticket and didn't whilst people who went to work phoned up and got Tickets. Who would should of deserved a Ticket more . There were also Fans bringing 5 Season Ticket booklets for their mates becoz they couldn't be arsed cueing up. They should of had another cue for people who were Season Ticket Holders for "General Sale". It should of been 1 per person for "General Sale" and not some people getting 10 Tickets whilst people who were Season Ticket Holders getting only a maxinium of 1.
