What is the point in posting foul mouthed abuse on this site? the Saddo posting is full of course remarks foul language and each contributing member should in my opinion simply be banned.
My Mum always used to say swearing was a sign of ignorance,as it proves you have nothing worth saying I am not a prude but I am fed up having to read mindless postings from people who should know better
Come on lads clean it up

Always thought it a bit odd that if you start a new thread when there is one that appears to be similar you get a right bashing from the "admin" people but you can pretty much be as foul mouthed as you want Shame really.

The bad language thing was put to a poll a fews years ago and it was democratically decreed that we were old enough to use naughty words. What's not allowed is insults, a couple of posters have particularly been in the firing line the last few days.

I hope the same parents give them earplugs whilst at the game, no access to social media and are in bed by 8 with no TV. Easier option is just lock them in their room with no access to anything or anyone, as they're going to hear it at some point in various other places like school, in town, anywhere really

Parents SHOULD know what their kids are looking at on the internet, and the wife has stopped coming on here.

Not really bothered, in a work environment (all lads together) nobody but nobody was worse than me, in a non abusive way though. In mixed company, which I consider on here to be I refrain, but that's just me.

Come on Reading, the Saddos thread isn't that bad.
One post tells Terrier1 to F off, which I suspect is exactly the reaction he was looking for! (I know Terrier1 well BTW).
Whilst a few of us had a go at Arterrier, only one post is really abusive & that appears to be borne out of frustration. I can understand that because AR comes across as a decent guy (as the Sherriff said) who is very knowledgeable about Town, but seems to be on a self destruct mission with regard to some other posters on this site. It's just a never ending series of criticism towards the club, despite the obvious improvements in the last 7 or 8 years & the FACT that we're now at one of our highest standings for the last 40 years. People are bound to react when his posts are so one sided to the point of being ridiculous at times. The vast bulk of his criticism is completely unjustified & takes no account of the reality of our financial position.

Fully support Reading Terrier. The quality of argument and discussion on DATM had deteriorated recently with too much personal animosity, too many "in" jokes, and poor reasoning, worsened by unnecessary swearing. I'm far more tolerant of swearing in speaking than I am in writing, where one can be more considered in one's judgement and writing. So, I'm no killjoy.

How about creating a seperate "N*bhead" board and let them only have access to that one, Some of the posters for whom DATM seems like their full time job to abuse anything anyone says would slot in perfectly well in there. Leave this forum for football and not abuse. If you are deemed guilty of personal abuse you are just banned from talk of the town for 31 days rather than a blanket ban. Only way it would work is if the untouchables/clique are included in the rules, because to be fair, they are far worse than most.

Never had a problem with foul language, its a great way of letting out frustration and is part and parcel of football.
It's until someone mentions the word 'L**ds United' when it goes that one step too far.

Parents should ensure that their children don't access foul sites like this, but just stick to viewing hardcore porn.....
And this Mum of yours.....bit of a goer, is she?...........;-}

Swearing is just used as a filler when someone can't think of a more appropriate word. That's one thing when your speaking and have less time to this, but when your sat at a keyboard and you can't think of anything better it just shows your dumbness.

She got fed up with gutter language and walked away.

No need to ban swearing but ban people who use it to abuse others Agree entirely, it does my head in that the majority of threads seem to descend into petty, personal arguments that have nothing to do with Huddersfield Town or football in general. Even the well-written, informative thread on the accounts only took two pages until someone responded to another person's post with nothing more constructive than "no-one cares what you think". I've no idea if it's the same people repeatedly turning the threads into shite as I don't really tend to read usernames and just read the post content, but downatthemac was a damn site better years ago when this sort of stuff didn't go on. A bit of light-hearted piss taking is fine but don't go personally abusing people for having an opinion or personality that might be a bit different to yours. No-one wants to read that.
