I've set my own limit of £25, won't pay above that who ever it is. I'm being deadly serious when I say I admire your principle, because I do. But I don't think you'll go to many away games next season if that's the case, sadly. Your probably right but enough is enough,I'd rather give my hard earned £££ to Town than leeds or wendies. I'd also like to see us set a limit of £25, more away fans makes for a better atmosphere, and when we play Charlton, charge them £5 like the last time we visited the valley.

This won't change without direct action. Want would people think of a boycott, organised via social media?

Prices at Hillsborough will be ridiculous. My mate's sent me the prices A* 45 A 42 B 39 to F 27 G 20 all English pounds in the Kop. South stand £7 extra, North and grandstand £3 extra. So I expect their attendances to fall this year as walk up numbers dwindled unless they're walking away with the league...

I read that those prices are only a couple of quid cheaper than what old Trafford is. Speaks volumes.

Looks like we know who is paying for the new pitch and the new players, and it's not the new owners.

Not a snowballs chance in hell of me paying that. This is not helping the game, part of the fun about going is hearing two sets of fans, this will surely destroy it?
Interesting to consider who has got the right policy between us, Wendies and Bradford - all very different strategies.

Incredible to think if you fancy watching Wednesday v Bristol City opening day - cheapest adult ticket is 39 smackers!

Aaahh we would have to pay to get in first - didn't think that one through fully, did I?

I was beyond stunned when I saw those prices. I know they've got a new owner who obviously wants to get to the PL ASAP and he's obviously banking on thousands of fans paying ridiculous walk up prices plus away fans willing to pay basically £30-52 for a ticket and selling say 5k to them and making loads of money that way so they can pay for better players etc and therefore get to the PL sooner.
Of course that strategy only works if they're flying high near the top and they do get thousands of walk up fans and thousands of away fans willing to pay stupid money. Truthfully I hope as many teams fans boycott Sheff Weds away as possible, as up to £52 for 2nd division football is absolutely ludicrous!
If they're like they were last season just stuck in midtable not scoring many goals not being very entertaining etc, then basically with those prices they can probably expect 6 people to pay those prices.

Would be very interesting to see what crowds Town would attract if they ever got into The Premier League. When Dean Hoyle did that £100 thing a few years back, they sold over 16,000 season tickets, so you would think there is the potential to at least match that? Prices are one thing, but whats on offer is equally important. The offer for a hundred pound ST was only to people that have had a ticket every season since the pledge was made, not across the board.

The game is killing itself. Full stadiums with atmosphere should be the aim. If they charged £20 across the board, home and away ends at Hillsborough then the place would be rocking week in week out. Not rocket science is it.

I think a sensible way forward is to have reciprocal deals with other clubs, especially where long journeys are involved. The likes of Brighton, Ipswich , Cardiff etc have got expensive travel costs before having to come up with £25 + ticket prices, surely more fans would travel if a £15 max price was introduced for games around 200 miles away.

2 adults and 2 kids cat A tickets at Sheffield Wednesday are more expensive than a Bayern Munich season ticket.

Absolute shock of those prices! Absolutely disgusting for football. Always thought it was too much for premier league never mind the championship. Sad thing is there will always be people daft enough to pay that amount to watch their team no matter what. I wish it was cheaper so stadium would be full of genuine football fans like the olden day before I was around

Birmingham fans have £42 at Leeds today. Fans in the premier league holding banners up in protest. Still no boycotts. When does it end?

I saw Man u fans held a banner up about the £60+ away ticket, yet the away end was full. While that is the case, teams are never going to reduce the prices.

Town should take the lead - twentiesplenty for both away fans and home fans...stadium is more than half empty every game. Clibbens needs to get his economics books out and relook at the paragraph about price/attendance elasticity...

If the price is too high then why fill the away end with paying fans? Boycott the bloody game.

Football is changing from being the working mans game, it's now more middle class..and some think £60 is quite affordable..but I suppose if they weren't their they wouldn't be able to their protest banner ??

When we play Burnley, they are charging us £24 for adults, £15 for U22's and the old duffers, and just £7 if you're under 18.
Those are very very fair prices and Burnley should be commended for it.

We don't play them at home until March, but those prices are what we charged Blackburn, so you'd think it'd be similair.

Have our £15 for Forest (still waiting for that back Town/KDSL)/£10 for MK/£20 for Leeds been reflected in the away fans prices?
