www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31692435Norwich striker Lewis Grabban says promotion will be more difficult because they're hitting top form. So I guess if we keep playing really badly, we'll soon find ourselves in the play-off positions.

they asked him a question and he hadn't had the answer written down and learnt it parrot fashion, at the end of the day its a 90 minute game of 2 halves and the gaffer has got the lads right up for the match , not for the post match interview..
its one game and one interview at a time lads....still, he can 'go again' next week when a mike is stuck under his nose..

I rarely if ever go to a match without being reminded just how stupid footballers are. In fact I often find myself wishing I could be that stupid as well given how good the money is.

I don't think it makes him sound stupid at all, I notice you didn't mention the part where he justifies what he said - 'Now that we've moved into the higher bit of the league, teams will try raise their game'.
Should really try and read everything before questioning his intelligence..

I'd question the truth in what he says - I can't imagine any of the Canaries opposition will think 'Oh, they're in the top six, we really ought to try today' but that doesn't make him an idiot.

Should really try and read everything before questioning his intelligence.. You're right - reading it again, the inference was taken from the poorly worded BBC headline, which said: 'Norwich wins "make promotion harder"'. What the player said was actually quite reasonable. I re-direct my abuse at the BBC.

Or for more general proof my favorite is Barry Venison:
"I always put my right boot on first, then obviously my right sock"
