I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem I've had using DATM for the last few days.
Everytime I click on a thread etc, I get a message at the bottom left of the screen which says;
'waiting for anvil.rubiconproject.com'. Th thread then takes literally 2 minutes to load every time. Same when I try post a comment etc.
Just wondering how to get rid of this? It's not my browser, as I get the same problem with bot IE & Firefox.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Thanks for replying mate. I actually don't think it's that as I've got both IE & Firefox set to delete cookies & it's the same problem on both of them. Trouble is, I've really no idea when it comes to this sort of thing. This morning, the waiting for 'anvil.rubiconproject.com' message hasn't appeared, but it takes literally ages to load a screen each time I click on something. (Whilst it's loading, the little circle goes round & round & there are no threads showing, only a screen with a blue background). To give you an idea, it's taken me about 30 minutes just to be able to get this far to reply to you. It's weird though, cos I only have this problem on DATM, despite using literally scores of other sites all day long in connection with my work. If you do think of anything else, please let me know. Will need to sort it though, because I can't use DATM as it stands. (Some might think that a good thing though!). Cheers.

Might be worth manually deleting them just to be sure.. 1 Open a Firefox browser window. Click on the "Tools" button in the menu bar, then click on the "Options" listing. The Options pop-up window will open. 2 Click on the "Privacy" panel in the Options window. Click on the drop-down menu and select "Use Custom Settings For History." Click on the "Show Cookies" button to open the "Cookies" window. 3 Type "Rubicon Project" into the search field to locate the cookies. Select the cookies that are displayed and click "Remove Cookies." Alternately, click "Remove All Cookies" to erase all the cookies on the computer, including cookies from the Rubicon Project. 1 Launch an Internet Explorer browsing window. Click on "Tools" and select the "Internet Options" listing in the drop-down to open the Internet Options window. 2 Click on the "General" tab, then click on the "Delete Cookies" button in the interface. 3 Click "OK" in the "Delete Cookies" verification window that opens to remove any cookies, including Rubicon Project cookies, from your computer. I presume you've run virus and malware software? Does it happen at both work and home? Does it happen on both phone and computer? Failing that, I wonder if terrierdaz can suggest anything..

Sorry mate, I've only just noticed you replied again (didn't get the usual notification). I've solved it (or rather my local computer shop has!). Got them to do a remote session to sort it out. Apparently this thing called Rubicon Project is part of the ad generator software that runs on DATM & its down at the moment, causing big delays (in certain circumstances) on websites like proboards that rely on it. Sounds like it's a common problem, as there are lots of negative comments on Rubicon's facebook page. I didn't think it was my browser, as I tried both IE & Firefox & got the same problem. My local shop solved it by installing Chrome, but removing Java when I use Chrome. Can't remove Java on my other browsers, as I need it for the work websites I use all the time. TBH mate, all this is double dutch to me, but I wanted to give you an explanation of what I'd done, especially as you've obviously put a fair amount of thought into trying to solve it for me. Thanks again!

Anyway, it looks like the problem has been resolved on Internet Explorer.

Rocky are you on Virgin Media by any chance? Sorry mate, I've been away & only just seen this. Yes, I am on Virgin Media. I had the problem on both IE & Firefox but my local computer guy got DATM working properly for me on Chrome. Since he did that, the problem seems to have been fixed on the other browsers. Cheers.
