Ex ST holders...
What reasons are behind your decision? Did the club ever contact you to ask why?
Current ST holders...
If you're not renewing why is that? To those unsure, what are your concerns?
It's a worry with only 6800 attending on Tuesday night and with more ST holders potentially not renewing.
What can we do to draw new/old fans in and keep existing ones?

I didn't renew this time primarily because I'm trying to save money to get my own place. I also have my little boy every other 2 weekends, and my time with him is much more important than a football match.
Also, if I'm honest, the 3 times I've been down this season, I've been bored stupid. Okay, the Forest game was good, but Bournemouth and Cardiff...a lobotomy would have been more fun. I've simply lost the zeal for the game, and not just with town, right across football.
The club could have gone to any lengths they wished, it wouldn't have altered my stance.

There are people saying they are fed up with the quality of football so they aren't renewing even though we are on route to finish the highest we have for years. Some people on here are an absolute joke, there's no point supporting a football club like ours if they can't accept the fact that we are only a small team with average players so of course we aren't going to be pushing for promotion yet!

I still don't understand charging the folk with least money the most, a young family, just spunked thousands on a wedding, massive mortgage and young children to buy nappies for the most. When I was a student, young 20s I was awash with cash. I'm pretty sure that once my mortgage is paid off and kids have moved out ill be awash with cash again...
It would be interesting to see where the main drop off is. I'd hazard a guess that somewhere around 30 years old.... With many returning at 40+
Developing brand loyalty and then losing it is a recipie for disaster.... basically my thoughts are the £100 season ticket got alot of 20 year old coming. Now they are nearly 30 and getting married, houses, kids etc, they won't be renewing at 349 quid, so that's the drop off is occurring.

We constantly get clamours for discounted student tickets (even though we already have them), but the folk who will have the least disposable income are those that have the burdens of outgoings you have already mentioned. Season card renewals out this week and I've a funny feeling the club will have a few pleasant surprises for us, whether its enough to stop the current trend of throwing next years season ticket in the bin, we will just have to wait and see.

Just bored with the football we play and the fact that Powell's hasn't the ability to identify what a good player is thus far.

it is difficult to justify renewing to be fair. The entertainment value is nil at the moment. Surely the club marketing strategists must be pulling their hair out wondering how they are going to sell next years season tickets. Maybe they are looking at free Powell sad face masks? Maybe a free cup of half time bovril? The only thing they need to sell tickets is a good product, and at the moment it ain't good. The chairman and his lackeys need to kick some ass.
I am renewing when the time comes. I suspect not many will though.

As much as we are disappointed etc I still reckon a fair amount will renew once all the toys have been placed back into the pram.
We all know it's a gamble with footy and Town especially but the feeling of not picking up hardly any points for the next 11 games is hardly inspiring stuff

Ex ST holder.
Had one since 1995 through until first year in current Championship reign.
No follow up from the club.
Stopped as originally hoped to be emigrating, in the meantime picked up something else to commit to on a Tuesday evening... still did about 10 to 15 home games last season. Have a Take 10 but dont think Ive cracked up 5 home games this season (plus 3 or 4 away games) and don't honestly know when I next will*... lost a bit of enthusiasm for watching the game (generally, not just Town).
Things like the radio coverage being on AM don't help either, when I wasn't attending, Id still listen to commentary which would keep me engaged with the team, now I can't easily do that unless I happen to be out driving.
Plus kid (one of reasons we kept going) now more interested in sports participation than watching.
All sorts of little reasons, doubt I'll have a season ticket ever again (unless they give them away for pensioners in 20+ years time)... could easily see myself not attending at all barring the odd game over Christmas to catch up with pals etc.
The thing is...as a committed fan, its quite hard to "stop" or "give up" or "reduce", but if/when you do, its VERY EASY not to "start" again.
*was supposed to be going on Sat and post match drinks / curry etc, but forgot (cos of working away and a busy weekend) to buy at what would have been £10 (as a Take 40 holder)... now the price has gone up I'll prob just not bother. (even tho the price is fair, and I would, and have, happily pay £25/£30 for championship (or even league 1) football.

For the first time ever I'm not sure. The thing is my twins are 8 years old and it's gonna cost me an extra £120 ish, for the most part they're bored stiff and to be fair so am I, I don't buy this highest position for years crap it's about entertainment which after all is what we pay for !!! The whole place feels like it's lost its soul to me and that's down to the utter dross served up for the most part

Allowing kids in for free is one of the best marketing strategies a football club can implement for obvious reasons. Mine aren't really interested, I would be a lot more likely to persevere if it were free and to be honest as a season ticket holder for longer than I can remember I expect to be able to introduce my young kids to it for free, I don't want to make a season long commitment and I don't want it costing me a disproportionate amount every game for something they probably won't enjoy that much (until they are hopefully hooked!). EX ST Holder
Didn't renew for 3 reasons.
1st and Main one was Robins still been in charge, its was clear he was dead man walking in march last year so how the fuck he got to start this season is beyond me.
2nd is the mentallity of the club and the fact were almost becoming a victim every week to ourselves. There isnt a winning mentallity there right now, its boring being a victim of parachute payments etc etc etc. Look at Brentford! it can be done and the people at the club need to start questioning where they are going wrong and looking at the philosphy being deployed. Why is the defence still so bad after 3 years yet we can spunk millions on Wells? Makes no sense that!
3rd reason is the 350quid and then its devalued by offer after offer by the time i've missed a game or two which i always will the vaulue has gone and its not worth it. The result on me i've not been to many games at all this season and spending the money going to gigs etc instead.
Also the club hasn't contacted to ask why, i don't think some of the people at the top would listen if they did. i do feel there is a plan at town and even though several elements are probably wrong there is an arogance that there isn't and they will just continue as they are.

Bring back the days of Kid for a quid, with a bit of an offer of 1 adult and 1 kid for 15 quid. Get the crowds in for a few home games AT THE START of next season. Pointless getting crowds in to watch this rubbish, they won't come back.

Moved to Scotland a year ago so it wasn't financially viable to renew this season. I got a Take 10 card thinking I'd maybe get to see half a dozen games or so. This coming Saturday will be my 14th game including one cup match.
I think the club should have more ticketing options such as Take 8, 10 12, 15 etc.

I'll probably be getting one it's just what I do on a Saturday, but found myself becoming more and more disinterested, used to go every week home and away as did other I know but I've probably missed more away games this year than I ever have...sad.

Season tickets aren't cheap and having a manager who refuses to try and go out and try to win home games against the shite teams is the main reason I'm prob not gonna get one. Its the very least I expect. Added to the wholly uninspiring starting xi's, his refusal to make any positive subs despite how often we're crying out for them, him doing the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome, being told on a fairly regular basis by different board members we cant compete with the bigger teams... There's a few reasons I'm having doubts about getting one

This makes a depressing read. It does and in truth i only get a sc now cos my 11 yr old is mad on town,i go with him and my wife, good few drinks in canalside and its a decent day but if he ever doesn't want to go or his own football starts to come first, decent player, then thats three sc gone, its not much keeping me there at the moment and I've been going since 79,but this season i will be renewing.

I renewed at the last minute this season and can honestly say that I wished I hadn't. The fayre served up has been for the main part boring and I can't wait for the end of season. I have no particular gripe with CP as I still think on he is in a transitional period of management. Will I renew next year I honestly can't say.The one thing I will say is ST offers of the early bird variety and any special deals for families etc need to be extended ? I would like to see who we sign before committing this coming year.

I'm pissed off with Town at the minute but will I not renew, I probably will renew, as I have done for the last 25 plus years. To me its a day out with my mates and gets me away from the missus.
I do think the club are in for a shock though, I think a lot of fans will not renew. The club need a good finish to the season, keep the fans onside, make sure they renew but we just seem to be stumbling along at the minute with no coherent direction.

Only if you're at Huddersfield Uni or Hudders Tech. And no discount for those over 23 in full time education. So no we don't really have them. No surprise that walk up attendances fell by 15% since student prices were scrapped.

If the average selling price for tickets last year was 9 pound odd, why not just say its £10 a game, sit where you want, no concessions, no student prices etc etc. Just value for money for everyone.

I didn't renew last time which made this the first season I didn't have a season ticket since 1983. I do have a Take 10 card which appealed as I don't live or work locally any more and I wasn't going to midweek games as it was so hard to get there in time after work. When you take those games out and see the cost it started to get a bit ridiculous. I also now have 2 kids and other demands on my time so there were the odd weekend games I couldn't make so when you count them up it was just too expensive.
What makes it worse is the timing of the early bird offer which is when I have the most financial commitments in the year so just wasn't appealing. I also don't do credit where possible so the 0% offer had no appeal either. If they have stretched the early bird offer another month and a bit I may have been persuaded to get one.
The Take 10 option is great for me but I do find I am more likely to miss a game as I haven't paid upfront and when its going badly or other things are on there isn't the great desire to spend the day going to the match and coming home depressed.
In a year or twos time I may start to bring my lad which may make it easier to come more often but he will be bored for large parts of the game no doubt and will probably just be on my phone!
The club have a tough sell as they need the most fans in possible so a lower price point would help but equally we are bleeding cash so it cant be too low.
