Andy its the grand national ..If you seriously think you won't have heard the result before you get back to your tv you're deluded mate !! You can hope Ted. Admittedly it's a long shot but following Town I'm used to that. I'm going to take the I Pod shuffle & listen to that from the final whistle so it's only during the match that's a real problem (or if the bloke on the Forest PA is daft enough to put the result out & it's louder than it should be). Straight to the car & a short journey home without the radio. Hopefully shouting at the TV around 19.00 (after watching five races). The main problem is people around me in the ground during the game. The fixture list wasn't kind to me. Wasn't the main problem the big, fuck off scoreboard notifying the winner?! Unfortunately, your ears weren't the problem!

Andy its the grand national ..If you seriously think you won't have heard the result before you get back to your tv you're deluded mate !! First sign on since last Saturday morning. Well I even surprised myself but I managed it. 17:31 parked on the drive (Town supporters living in Huddersfield forget how lucky they are, it's often after 19:00 from a home game) and I hadn't heard the Aintree result. I didn't even see the result on the big screen Gledholt T, I must have been too busy clapping the boys after their brilliant performance. With the Town result & after getting the winner of three of the four supporting races (& 2nd money back free bet in the other) I was thinking for once the sporting gods were smiling on me but alas not to be. TBF though, I've never achieved this (avoiding the result) at the Mac. I can only put it down to the fact the people round me (top left of our bit viewing pitch) contained a fair few who'd had a drink (& were enjoying the sing song and the craic) and the others were focussed on the game. That was a top tip Ted. The BBc website had 13 pundits picking their top 4 and Many Clouds didn't feature once. With hindsight the Hennessey winner should perhaps have had more support but TBH I joined the camp who thought his Cheltenham run indicated his form was tailing off after a (fairly) long season. Any thoughts about the Scottish National? Early thoughts Sego Success or Indian Castle (with no great optimism).

Has to be Gallant Oscar for me. Lovely staying-on never nearer third at the Festival. Form solid and Carberry booked to ride off of 10 stone 1. Interesting that JP McManus has shelled out good money to buy the horse this week too

Head.... Harry the Viking is rock solid at 25s though there might be one or two too good . Bertimont's trainer Dan Skelton is red hot at present, and there is the pretty good form line with the new one .. so at the prices they should at least give you a run for the money ... I'm really looking forward to seeing the Hannon pair ivawood and tiggy wiggy at Newbury and I also fancy Hannons brownsea brink in the handicap... The other bets Ive had today are balmoral castle at Newbury , whozthecat at thirsk and htafc to beat dcfc 3-1...good luck all

I like (& have backed) Ivawood but surprised Estidhkaar is as high as he is (arguably too much attention paid to his last race on soft) and I've taken some of the 6/1 EW and also the 25/1 in the 2000 G.
