I know it's cliche to say "forgive me if this has been spoke about before or see another thread" but at the end of the day life's too short! What are fans lowest and highest points of our third successive championship season? Reading and Rotherham home games (reading cup) have to be my lowest with doing the double over forest my personal highest accolade. Sad I know but growing up in Nottingham you can imagine the "banter" (horrible word) I've had to ensure during my short twenty years watching the mighty town. UTT

Rotherham away was the angriest I'd felt leaving a game this season. Rubbish opposition and 2-0 up, yet in classic Town form we decided to try sit back. We always know what happens when we do that. Same for Leeds at home - ideal opportunity to take the game to them, yet we sat back and tried to cling on to a point. I absolutely hate accepting 1 point against mediocre opposition, and too many of our recent managers have fallen into that trap. Thankfully Powell seems to have 'grown out of it'.
Highs - last few games of the season. Powell started to take games to the opposition, something we'd been crying out for since about November. Genuinely enjoyable, positive football being played. Until then I'd really not enjoyed this season, or the management.

highs..
anytime we tried to go for the game..even when we lost..
lows.. the games that either passed us by totally or the last 20 minutes where we just waited for the shit to hit the fan..
bunn/scannell and lolley in cameos are highs, the central defending at times was a very definite low...

Highest point (of quite a few) was "Dennis Law" impersonation by Joel Lynch in scoring that bicycle kick.
Lowest point - about ten times during the Reading cup match when I asked myself whatever possessed me to waste a tenner (and an afternoon of my life)
Great end to the season in terms of spectacle - let's hope we can carry it over to '15/'16 by keeping the promising players who have started to shine as the season has gone on.

The sausages were a high at Craven Cottage and made up for a lot. My highs were Wolves away, and Ipswich away when we came back from 2 - 0 down and were rampant for the last 30. Lows were the 10 man defeat at Norwich and Sharpe's winner.

Low was first game of the season, losing 4-0 was a real blow to just about everyone.
High was Forest home and away.

Low points Bournemouth home, Leeds away, Birmingham home, Reading cup home and Rotherham home and away...and all the shite performances we had to endure.
High points Forest home and away, Fulham away even though we lost we played well, loads of Town fans and a good day out, Bolton home was a good performance too, Watford and Brentford at home.

We had quite a few highs, beating Wolves 3-1 away and Watford 4-1 at our place both spring to mind, 2 strong teams who we outperformed on the day by playing well as a team. Reading at home where we won 3-0 was probably the best we performed as a team all season, as we did' t concede, and gave us arguably the best team goal all campaign, where Miller lobbed the keeper. Beating Forest home and away was good too and that game against Derby that finished 4-4 was a cracker! We also drew away at the champions, Bournemouth, towards the end of the season, so let's not discount that. Low points; maybe the first game of the season losing 4-0 at home to Bournemouth, but bearing in mind we didn't know how well Bournemouth were going to do this season and we were managerless, I think. Losing 5-0 to Norwich hurt, the most we'd conceded all season, as well as throwing the game away in the last 5 minutes against Rotherham to draw 2-2. The other game we played against Rotherham was shocking, losing 2-0 at home, and losing home and away to Fulham, a side that finished so low down the table, and Leeds, our rivals was painful. I'd say the fact that Leeds beat us home and away was out lowest points. Someone needs to tell Powell how important it is to win those games as I don't think he fully understands! However, we have really performed against some of the stronger teams in the division this season and if we can get some consistency together next season against the weaker teams, the future looks bight for Town! UTT!

Lows, Birmingham at home.
Highs, realising there is a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than watch the garbage that were the matches I attended.
Ah well, will perhaps see how we look next season and hope to be able to report a single high.

Another high point I forgot to mention, Mark Robins resigning. The resignation of Robins was a shame, I wanted it to work for him but in reality he should have gone before pre-season. First game of a new season with hopes running high and boy did we get dicked. They could have got 10 that day. One more major low for me was the appointment of Powell. Of all the available managers and the ones that applied and we go for Powell. Ah well, there's always the cinema next door if you want to be entertained.

Morley there were some cracking games at the stadium this season Hi Ted, I believe so,I just saw the shit ones and boy they were shit. That bad I have chosen to not go and have seen the least amount of games in a season since the 1970's. Charlton away was an utter disgrace as was Birmingham at home. I did though miss such as Forest and Bolton at home which I believe were great performances. I am though completely convinced we have chosen the wrong Manager and had we aimed higher and not chosen safety as the benchmark for success, we could achieve so much more. Aim high and all that. I will I am sure be there for the opening home game next season and can absolutely handle defeat (you have to the eras I have watched Town) and have for many seasons enjoyed honest endeavour with no success. I can't though stomach negative tactics and utterly inept performances.

Low point - Reading in the FA Cup?
High point - just generally improving and able to hold our own with some of the bigger guns that we hadn't managed to do that with in the previous 2 seasons...

There were some inept and /or defensive performances but as a whole I don't think it was a bad season... The Derby game, for me, was one of the most entertaining ever at the Mac... There were 5-6 other excellent home displays... Especially towards the end... Ipswich, Norwich , Fulham etc etc...My away forays are more limited these days so I can't comment... But In All the seasons we've ever spent in the championship in my lifetime .. Apart from when we finished seventh... I can't remember a season when we did so well against the top teams... Which to me says that if we add some consistency to our quality we might have a chance next season ... And as for hating powell... After that 0-4 debacle on the first day I reckon most town fans would have snapped your hand off for our finishing position

This Man has access to one of the best squads / quality of Players we have ever had in my lifetime watching Town and we are under-achieving under the heading of 'safety = success'. Time will tell next season........

If he becomes negative, so will the fans. All the highs for town have been when we have been on the front foot, we should now have to confidence that we belong in this division, that can only help us produce better performances

The low point for me was walking back to the tube station at Putney in that torrential down pour at Fulham. The high point was the way we played against some of the top side's at the end of the season.

My high, first game at home for over a year v Bolton at Christmas. Great atmosphere, packed away end, crisp sunny day.
Took only 50 seconds to go tits up, Bolton one up !
However in not so true Town fashion, fought back and won 2-1, Wells decider late on in the second half at their end, I love it when we score in front of the away following, after their start they must have been dreaming of an easy afternoon.
Low points, my next 2 home games, Reading in the cup, bored shitless, and Rotherham 0-2.

I can understand having some issues with Powell's approach and preferring someone else, but to say you 'absolutely don't rate him at all' is just bonkers; there's no foundation. There was a 5-6 game period where I started to lose faith, but overall we recovered from looking horrendous first game of the season to having a pretty decent finishing position, which came about from a cracking end to the season, where we could easily have clocked up a few more points.

Same group of Players and Mark Warburton as Manager. We will of course never know but would we have been on our bended knees in total gratefulness to Powell for surviving or enjoying life a bit further up the table?. I know where my money is.
