If evidence was required, the media would be eviscerated by at least 99%. (Oh and yeah, for what it's worth, my evidence-free opinion is - start a new thread).

Presumably you can appreciate that simply clicking on a shiny new thread with an accurate title would be even easier? 'Back a bit' could be several pages depending on the popularity of the thread and when you happen to stumble upon it. There is no value whatsoever in this new observation being tagged to a year old discussion just because it happens to be about the same player. This is a forum not a reference library. Just click the "new" button and it will take you to the first unread message in a thread? Works well if you've read every single page of every old thread Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

'yes I do and you can still fuck off'... It's a bit like how I met Moaner,I was sitting around a pool in Spain and he came over, but he didn't say do you know who I am,,he's a good lad too

Don't you find that then marks all those threads as read for ever? Even for new posts which come in after? I did it once and messed me up for a few days until most of the the old threads faded away!

No. Mark as read makes all posts at that time read...and then the next time someone posts on a thread, the “new” pops in again.
