Grayson seems to know how to get teams out of league one. Shame he's massively out his depth in the Championship

I'd have Becks back, nasty to play against.

I'd have Becks back, nasty to play against. His touch outside the area is comically bad at times You look through that Preston side and it is made up of players who have had massively average careers (Beckford aside). They'll have to do some serious strengthening to stay up if they win this

They play very similar to how did with us, hit it long in to the channels, pressurise the man chasing the ball forcing him to put it out for a throw and then build from there. Easy to see why it works in League One as defenders pannick a lot more but it's quickly sussed out in the Championship

Quite a few players in the Swindon line up who look like they've a fair bit of potential (Gladwin, Byrne, Stephens, Luongo) - but potential doesn't win matches. If they don't pull this back and win, can see a fair few of them moving to Championship clubs next season.
EDIT: Game over, surely?

Lovely finish
Fine margins, should have been 2-1 seconds before

Beckford will probably end up with one of the mega-rich relegated sides who, once Austin departs QPR, won't have a goal-scorer amongst them. They'll pay whatever it takes to have a recognised goalscorer in their ranks. He'll be able to write his own contract.

The football we played under Grayson in those 12 matches or so before he got sacked was the worst we had seen since Ritchie. It's easy to forget but it really was awful

What?, a quality striker like Beckford and we want him back?.
Hell no!, he used to play for Weeds or L@??s or Scum or L***s like our narrow minded small town local yokel fans like to refer to that Club as.
He is quality and our inbreds that can't even refer to Leeds (LEEDS) as a city and / or club need to get a life.
Hoyle, push the boat out and sign him!.

It's easy to forget but it really was awful If I recall he himself has said he didn't know how to arrest the shocking form we'd found ourselves in at the time - don't know whether that's true or not. Either way, had he stayed in charge we would have been playing Sheffield United and Preston again in League One.

But 12 games, is just 12 games and for me, he was by far the best manager in the transfer market from recent years.....Clayton, Norwood, Scannell, Beckford, Vaughan, Lynch, Southern. Food for thought.

Tbh I don't know anyone who has used the Leeds argument for not signing Beckford, simply that he isn't good enough. Both arguments ridiculous.

A lot of people have something to say about beckford but give him chances and he will score goals. The three finishes today just highlight that. I'd have before any of our strikers any day ( and I like JV NW and Miller )

Dean Hoyles wife and her Dad are big Preston fans so really pleased for them - assuming Swindon don't score 5 in 15 mins?

Swindon have had an absolute 'mare today. Come on lads, give your fans a goal at least. This is bringing back the pain of OT for me, but at least we competed for 70 mins.

Beckford acored a hat-trick but two players stood out for PNE for me today. Jon Welsh and Daniel Johnson. Johnson looks an excellent talent, cultured on the ball and works very hard. Shrewd business to sign him up after his loan spell!

Right, it's L666s or Devil's spawn, bloody yokels Do you think this writer was doing a pun-intended ? "Beckford has reached 20 goals this season despite missing a chunk of the campaign suffering from a type of vertigo, but the on-loan Bolton forward is now poised to climb the football ladder once again."

I agree i.e. getting the best out of players but my point was, that a high proportion of his signings were good. Hopefully Powell can be as astute this summer.
