friendly rivalry someone has said a few posts above. you are kidding you must be a young kid, we hate them they hate us. Personally I hope they go bust, disappear from the face of the earth, stay down forever, deluded big time charlies , 56 to Coventry is their level. I hope they continue to mis fire for decades. You must be a young kid Us old-timers have little rivalry with Bradford. But Leeds... well! I'm 39 and when I started going there wasn't any rivalry, it was always Leeds. This 'rivalry' only kicked off in the 90's over the ticket and boardroom boycott furore.

We used to play Bradford more than L**ds back then so the rivalry was pretty intense and i've never known anything different to be honest so it suprises me when long standing town fans think differently......relative newcomers to supporting Town i get because we haven't played Shitty on a regular basis for sometime whilst we play L**ds regularly now. By the way,it's nothing personal to the vast majority of their supporters....i was just brought up to dislike our footballing neighbours and i will continue to do so!

All you need to ask yourself, to find who's our main rival, is the question:-
"Who do I want to win when Bradford play Leeds?"
Bradford every time for me.

Bradford every time for me. a draw and both teams to have a boatload sent off..both clubs to be fined oodles re player behaviour and both to be relegated because they drew.. other than that I just dont care..

Every team has an off day. Can't really judge us on this afternoon's performance. Always a pleasure to see you on here Bilo - you seem a decent sort really. Unfortunately, your off day has meant you are almost certainly going to be playing 3rd tier footie again, but don't forget us on here, will you? Cheers. Yeah, I'll stick around. You guys never have much to brag about...

I don't claim to support 'Barcelona' like some on here. Maybe Berty's reference has more to do with the 96 play off campaign than any illusions we have of your wavering resolve? Maybe. We're not going to win 2 or 3-0 at the Den though, are we?

Arterrier - you're only 39? ? Wow - how did one so young turn into being so, you know, ever so slightly negative??? I always had you down as a 50+ type of fella.......

Did you miss the 6-3 and 5-2 wins over Bradford in the early 80's? Amazing atmosphere's at both those games and plenty more around that time if I remember rightly.

That's the 'Blackpool' spirit Bilo. I don't claim to support 'Barcelona' like some on here. Nobody on here claims to play like Barcelona but the Forest, Preston, Lids, QPR, and Charlton fans all thought we played like them this season.

I think so of them might have said 'we made town look like Barcelona'? clearly these fans have only seen the Barca games where they play like they can for 20 minutes or so, difference is they score a few and then defend properly.. honestly we defended like Bolton Wanderers at times and for longer periods than looking like Barca..

Yes, I missed the 6-3, I wasn't going then but I was going by the time of the 5-2, Big Dunc and Ian Banks with the goals, in fact Shearer scored 4 I think.

Lynch is streets ahead of that lot. If your defence is championship standard why aren't any of them playing at this level? It isn't as though they've had a lack of exposure is it? Lynch is error prone and never been above L1/bottom half of the Championship. We're not a selling club, like Town are. How did your 9 Championship players do tonight? Those two additions you needed would've come in handy...

odd but Evans and a couple of others were still playing the second half as though it actually was just 1-1??? tried to play a bit without humping it up, couldnt.. Hanson could have been the diffference between 2 sides who dont require a grassed surface..

I hope they get promoted. just so we can see them relegated. We already have a better defence than you so you're not too far ahead of us before we even sign anyone. Bilo eh. One of the lowest quality games of football I've ever seen. Woeful standard. Reckon we would have dicked either side 3/4 nil easy tonight.

That was a pitifully low quality game, I cant believe I watched the full thing.
What I found odd in second half was when Thorpe came on for Bradford, camera repeatedly picked him up in incidentals and the commentators went on and on about him in a positive fashion, despite the fact he was utterly clueless as a footballer with the kind of positional sense, awareness and ball control youd expect to see in the amateur leagues.
I looked him up, he came through the fringes of the England youth ranks and played one game for Man Utd. I guess thats the entire reason they wanted to talk about him.
Millwall looked garbage too, dropped a couple of levels in quality since relegation...League 1 must be about as easy as it has ever been to get promoted from at the moment.

Leeds always have been and always will be our main rivals, not the chickens who have spent most of their history in the lower two divisions.

I have come to the conclusion that Bilo hasn't actually seen Bradford play this season.. Those ancient hoofball tactics were a joy to watch! Thought Bradford were 4-2itous to get away so lightly over two legs tbf.. Btw, Bilo, when's the new kit announcement? Always good for a laugh that one!
