Sold is a very misleading term
Half of that figure is likely to have been give aways to under 11s or whatever age it is that gets them free. They've probably only sold 8000 at 150 quid a pop. Their playing budget must be tiny

They`ve "sold" just over 13,000 including 50 quid flexi cards and lots of free to under 11`s.

£149 in all sections if the ground. Free to under 11s and they've only sold 15000. That's pretty crap, really. We sold over 16500 when we did £100 ones and they weren't free to kids and some sections of the ground paid £200.

I read somewhere they did an offer on Groupon for a season ticket pretty cheap

They might be saying 'has sold' that many but that doesn't strictly mean sold for money. Think of it this way, if they've sold 15k tickets to people above the age of 11 then there'll be a few thousand extra that are under 11, meaning there's not much capacity left for any other season tickets, pay on the day, away fans etc. That's not very likely to be the case.
More than likely the 15k or however many it is will include plenty of under 11's.

Its just shy of 15000 and includes free to under 11s and flexi cards, so really its nothing to boast about. For the 8th biggest city in the UK and with only one professional club to only "sell" 15000 at those prices, is pretty embarrassing, but hey ho we'll have to hear about their great support until they finally start charging what everyone else does. I'm glad we only went down that road for one season, cos I doubt we'd be playing championship football now.

Either way, having 15000 home fans every week is better than 5000 home fans even if the money they generate is no greater.

They get something like 10 tickets and they can use them whenever they want. Not a bad idea for us to do, really for those who cant make every match.

It's a good job we've had this offer campaign 'cos we've had no other news to read about in the last two months. Not one signing and the squad were back training today. Davies and Stead not even signed yet either.

Buy a flexi card for £50 and pay £10 a game. For those who can't make it to every home game or don't want to.

That sounds a bit of a stupid idea then really. I thought it was quite a good idea, but for the same price as a season ticket, you only get 10 games. For half the price you don't even get 3 games.

For half the price you don't even get 3 games. £25 a game if you don't get a flexi (was £20 previous seasons). Suppose it encourages people to just buy a season ticket.

I think Bradford are selling themselves short with these cheap season tickets. Nine seasons in a row, seems good for PR, but not good business sense. One or two seasons would be a good idea to get some of the fans back or new fans. Surely you'd be better selling about 4000 at normal prices then another 4000 paying full prices on the gatem. You've sold more season tickets than us for all but one of the last 8 seasons, but we've always had a higher average attendance, so we must be making far more in revenue with half our crowd paying full price.

Great offer, can't fault the Club and the uptake shows what can be done.

Not in debt Big crowds Good atmospheres Long serving manager Half a team who've been here years Weakest league one in years Two amazing cup runs recently League progress every year Been a great time to support City and with a few decent signings soon, we could have another good season.

The owners budgeted the season with Paladini taking over and investing in the playing squad and playing to the Bradford fans of a "revolution"...
He hasn't taken over and the owners are skint..
I'd rather have a Championship team on the pitch, than more people in the stand watching Fleetwood on a Tuesday night with a cheap season ticket..

IMO away fans helped you with attendances last season. I actually don't believe we are that well supported anyway. Didn't sell out in the cup semi at home to Villa and like you say we need cheap tickets to get decent crowds. However, it's much better going to VP now then when we were last in L1 8-10 years ago paying more.

Well, let's hope that the season after this one doesn't throw up the Tuesday night scenario. The season ticket though, won't be cheap.

Progressing quite well atm. I would too but we don't have that choice.
