Just seen that Lolo has scored both goals for Ghent tonight in their 2_1 home win. Isn't it remarkable that players who were big disappointments at Town seem to do well elsewhere. Coaching and motivational leadership could hold the key perhaps.! It's nothing to do with the coaching it's because he's up against farmers and chocolatiers Do you want to list the goals he scored for town, the opposition of the day, and the defenders and goalkeepers he had to beat to get the ball in the net?

I think you’re confused in the response here. He’s now up against shite defences in comparison to when he played for us. Tbh Belgian and Dutch league are pretty shite if you’re not the top 2 clubs. And he didn’t score 2 against a Belgian team, he scored against Rijeka of Croatia..... So he will bang goals for them in that league as well as against Europa qualifiers. Bit different to the Premier League and the standard of players on display.

Look it up and it debunks the theory that he's only scoring goals now because of the poorer opposition.

Upping your game against the bigger Prem teams is natural, can’t remember him banging them in against Stoke or West Ham? Look at his goal scoring record. Last time he was at Gent his record was near 1 in 2. Playing against some teams that Championship teams would beat cosily, in a top flight league that is absolute average, is his comfort zone. I understand he scored against Man United, Chelsea and Man City to make a few. But players who are not on that level up it and that’s what they did the 1st season. It happens with a lot of teams and players.

Why can a player be an absolute beast against two of the best sides in the country, but not get up to that level in more mundane games?

I’ve seen the shittest of players have blinders against the top 4 teams and when they’ve played the so called lesser, they disappear. In all fairness Depoitre did disappear in season 2. It was like he reset his FIFA game and erased himself

Andy Payton sacked as manager of Garstang Scored some nice goals for us. Only ever cared about himself - was never a team player (and thereby would probably have fitted in seamlessly today) If he scored but the team lost he was happy. Ask Jacko - he got shut of him as soon as he could for that very reason.

Noticed on MOTD that Billing seemed to be loitering with no intent whatsoever. He could have helped prevent two of City’s goals, instead he was just floating around aimlessly.

I wandered lonely as a Billing, That floats on high n’er showing willing, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of blue clad City players, Beside the box, around the penalty spot, But I could not give a jot.

Thought exactly the same. Quick to hand players over to someone else and then jogged into defend a space when play had already passed him. Bournemouth would have been better taking Mooy instead.

We cast apersions on a player struggling against man city. Meanwhile ours are running out of steam against Reading

I must admit I watched most of the game just to see how he got on. To be honest I didn't think he played much differently for Bournemouth than he did us. His languid style perhaps doesn't do him any favours but he did look a little bit lost at times. His decision of when to press and close down or to sit and deny the space, or when to track the runner doesn't appear to have improved - still it's early days and he has very chance to improve under Howe's coaching methods. If he does well good luck to him - and well done to Ross Wilson - I know he worked hard to bring him to the club in the first place and we are now £15 million better off - or £4 million if we spent £11 million on Mbenza!

He did it time an again, it was embarrassing. Not sure if it’s inexperience or laziness, but he won’t last long at this level if he carries on this way.

Lee Clark got his first point on Saturday. Home to guisley today. A point against an equally struggling Park Ave. They will get battered today by Guiseley.

I think he just set up the Fred as an excuse to talk about his hero. Since then Clark has left Blackpool, not done much at Kilmarnock, played a part in financially crippling Bury and leaving them 24th in Lge 1 after being handed the finances to get them promoted. Now he's on the verge of getting sacked by Blyth Spartans.
