Please can we have a separate stickered thread at top of main forum for putting all ex players, managers , folk connected to club. Makes sense. Will stop other separate ones.

Yep, I'm with Ben. Put it on a sub board, out of the way.

West Yorkshire Sport @wysdaily · 51 mins51 minutes ago City won't be signing former Huddersfield Town striker Jon Stead on a permanent basis

Why don't we just have a Nick sub board? I've suggested this in the past to the other admins.

nope .... not creating a separate thread / board for Nick drivel Hi everyone ...I'm back!!! Daz Welcome back. He's asking for a stickied thread for ex-player discussion. It would help tidy things up and ultimately create less work for your team. It's not just for 'Nick drivel', other folk contribute to his ex-player threads as a rule. They're not always my cup of tea but I've seen threads on ex-players generate plenty of interest. Bang it all in one thread I say, like the transfer talk.

Yeah, but who wants to read 10-20-page threads, 90% of which is Nick-drivel, to find out about ex-players. If an ex-player squeezes a zit, I want to know about it as it happens.

Who reads the transfer thread all the way through every time though?
The computer seems to remember (cookies?) where you got to in the thread the last time you accessed it and takes you to where you were last. Or alternatively start at the end and read the latest posts in the thread.
The geek thread is up to 11 or 12 pages now but you don't read through every page every time someones posts a new piece in there.
I think it would work (or at least is worth a try) and would ultimately make less work for you lot.

This forum hates starting threads ha. Why don't we just have one thread for everything? Saves new threads being started

What a shame the 'NEW' button doesn't appear on the iPad app.

Getting back to Nick's thread, no, terrible idea. Ex-managers, ex-players - is anyone that interested that we need a stickied thread? Can you not just get a wipe-clean poster of Lee Clark printed somewhere Nick?

Seperate thread are a great idea... the board is full of them.....
Stickying multiple threads ends up being counter productive - "if you build it they will come" - if the thread has traction it won;t need stiickying will it? It will always be on the front page becuase Nick will be posting "GTF farted this morning" followed by "Denis Law just had a haricut" and whatever else every 5 minutes....
