Could turn out to be a good deal for us,Whitehead a ready made replacement, billing steps up as cover and we go and get Tarkowski on permanent deal or loan Liam Moore.More likely though someone who's free!!Utt

If he's gonna be sold at least early July is better than a few days before deadline day as previously. Hopefully the cash can then be invested wisely without lastminute.com panic buying. As i have said in anotherpost lets see if all the pieces of the jigsaw fit and he goes. i can assure you we have other players in mind if this transfer goes through

we don't know what has happened it could be CP has said he does not feature in my immediate plans now and he was going to be behind certain players in the squad so its a deal that may get coady first team football and us some cash in to help CP do deals else where. I like him good player and huge potential but if CP sees others ie Billing as being able to step up then get the money and lets get some defence

Difference between town and wolves;
However Jackett insisted that McDonald would not be leaving the club, saying he was a ‘big part’ of his plans.
Jackett confirmed Fulham had entered a ‘very low’ bid, which was not given consideration.
The head coach added: “Kevin McDonald is a big part of our plans and he’s not a player we want to lose, whether it be to a Championship rival like Fulham, or anybody else.
If only our management were saying the same about coady.....

Deano/Powell are going to have to pull a rabbit out of the bag to placate the fans............ Or offer season ticket refunds. Best players sold year on year for the last 4 years, relegation looms ...... Honestly there's some right drama Queens on here at times. Refunds on season tickets cause we've sold Conor Coady - a player you didn't even know existed 18 months ago. Best player sold? Relegation cause we've lost Coady? Deary me fella your life must be one long tunnel of gloom and doom if that's your outlook off the back of this.

All this was said before clayton was going last year then we got butterfield and coady and change and it was all forgotten. I'm gonna wait til 31st August or whenever the window shuts this year before judging how it's all panned out.

Just heard from a Wolves fan who I work with and he says that this rumour is a load of bull shit - It's a rumour they've started as a laugh on a Wolves forum and the local paper has picked up on it.
Nothing to see here, move along

He's certainly one of our better U21 players and although the standard may not be great in the development league, good players will become better players if they play with better players. If the club are to continue the policy of developing and selling players for profit, then some of these young lads are going to have to be given a chance soon or we'll have soon have nobody left to sell on.

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens told BBC Radio Leeds: "We are in a great position financially. "We can sell players when we want to and it's best for the club." He added: "With Dean Hoyle as chairman we don't have to do anything that we don't wish to, whereas in the past we have maybe been forced a little. "Ultimately everyone is a selling club, even Manchester United sold Cristiano Ronaldo, but the important thing is that you sell at the time of your choosing No mention of a £2m clause in Conor Coady contract being activated

Nothing to see here, move along Well BBC Radio Leeds have bought it and it's then gone on to the BBC Sports web pages. They have occasionally pulled pages before but generally by the time someone bothers to write it up it's generally true. With our budget and finances we have to play a bit clever with the transfer market. I doubt Liverpool are slashing their wrists that they sold a player for under £400K that's now worth 2 million. Sometimes you have to take a few risks, if the management feel they can do without him and strengthen elsewhere with the money freed up then you have to just see how it plays out. As said elsewhere it's a bit easier when you have the gates that Wolves do.

Hmmmm, glad I held off ranting why no-one was paying attention to there potentially being a clause This ain't good, although in the very short-term there's a few others I'd be more concerned about leaving.

Does he need replacing in midfield - didn't we just sign Whitehead?
This leaves Whitehead, Butterfield and Hogg for central midfield before we introduce Billing and Holmes into the equation. We missed experience at times last seasion and that shouldn't be the case this year with Whitehead replacing Coady in the first XI.
Everyone rates Billing and hopefully this season he can become a regular member of the first team squad who is a full 3 years younger than Coady. I don't feel we need a direct replacement in midfield I would rather the money be spent on our defence.

I'd hope we'd be looking at someone more forward thinking to replace Coady - McGugan rumours would suit me.

Coady played behind Hogg last season and was moved forward when we played Poyet or Edgar in place of the injured Hogg. Whitehead would slot straight in behind Hogg. "Coady was pushed slightly higher up the field due to Jonathan Hogg’s injury absence, with new loan signing David Edgar played a holding midfield role." www.htafc.com/news/article/conor-coady-huddersfield-town-leeds-united-wigan-athletic-2230269.aspx

Well this is terrible news for me.
Its ok mentioning Billing - Powell had every chance to give him a go at the end of last season. And he did didn't he... oh no.
#Weaimfor14thplace
At last we made a nice video of him at the end of last season to help market our assets and conclude the deal earlier than last year. We also made videos of Scannell and Wells for the record.

I know the position we are in as a club and I believe that the chairman and everyone else at the club are doing their best to keep us in the championship. However, as a fan it's difficult to sit their wishing my team on and supporting the club I've followed since childhood sell our players (potential or not) to others around us. I trust the management so again I'll believe this deal to be in the best interests of the club UTT
