Just wondering, maybe he wasn't allowed to bring in any good defenders, & to prove a point played crooks there, before walking, does anyone know why he left.

His words when he parted company, 'I just can't do it anymore'.

Was he totally clueless when he got us out of the mess created by Grayson ? IMO Larry was unlucky, Robins had all the players already, he could bore you to death when he gave an interview.. He signed his own sacking papers when he Put Crooks in defence,

He signed his own sacking papers when he Put Crooks in defence, Larry ....unlucky? It would be probably the last word I'd use to describe his tenure at Town! Robins left because he realised the job (and turning around the hostile home fans) had become too much for him. Thankfully he resigned rather than waiting for the sack which IMO would have left us in a far more precarious position further into the season.

Got no time for Robins whatsoever. He should have left at the end of the previous season, he sat back while his back room staff all got sacked and then lost the plot with that team against Bournemouth. We had to spend all season fixing his many mistakes, thankfully in Powell we had the right man to fix those mistakes. On paper Hudson was a solid signing, he's just a bit too Eddie Youds than Robert Page at the mo.

Suspect with the budget available he thought he didn't have the skills to take us any further, the side he put out on the opening day was a bit of a convoluted resignation letter IMO. Although the football was dreadful to watch at stages of last season Powell is the better manager IMO. It would take a superb effort for any manager to get us in the top half with the money we have compared to the majority of sides in the League. Hopefully Powell will be that man, I've warmed to him a hell of a lot more since he got us going out and having a go at teams, hopefully we will start the season in the same vein.

Why did he leave?
0-4 is the answer.

Lost the plot......gutless........cowardice..........not good enough....... Whichever of the above it was, it wasnt the first time he bailed out and after a summers recruitment which could best be described as crap and an opening day performance as bad as i have EVER seen it wasnt a surprise was it. We all have different views on some players........but they showed that day what they thought of robins. Passionless, lacking in commitment, no pride, appalling spirit and leadership spring to mind and thank god we got shut. Powell spent most of the season trying to recover from bobbins and his lop sided squad - only time will tell if he can build his own which is far superior!

Remember going into the ground with all the excitement of the new season then I saw that team sheet, we got away lightly that day at 0-4. I've left games early before but I could have left before the kick off that day !!!

Not history if the same ongoing defence problem. Defence might still need sorting but at least we've moved on since Matt Crooks! That was a dark, dark day

Not surprising fielding six players Nick. Fantastic season for Bournemouth, stuck five past Fulham, EIGHT past Brum and five past Cardiff

Always a bit surprised at the stick Robins gets.
Amazed at the stick Grayson gets.
I dont think Robins kept us up as I think Grayson would have kept us up, but Robins did reasonably well with the resources available to him after taking over.

I wish we had shouted it from the hilltops that he walked out, so I don't have to hear another pundit on talksport say...... "it just goes to show how the games gone mad when you look at Huddersfield sacking Mark Robins after just one game"
