Antonio at forest off to west ham for £7 million so 3.5 for Jacob is a piss take tbf Would take Butterfield over him all day long. People always come up with these examples. They're bollocks and you can find just as many that look the opposite. Anyway, not good to hear unless Huws and Dempsey prove a shrewd acquisitions, along with hopefully a real top notch striker and in my view a RB.

£3.5m and Jake Buxton (posted as a suggestion earlier by someone) would be a very good deal IMO.

If your "mate" truly did quote Butterfield correctly, that Town was on it uppers and that DH was looking to get out of the club, I seriously don't think you could have resisted mentioning it before on here! And you're seriously expecting us to believe that Butterfield will not be financially better off from the move? Yeah right, sounds to me like made up bullcrap! He hasn't confirmed butts said it ... Town haven't forced Butts out.. Not at all.. They did lean heavily on Alex though Then galpharm needs to write more clearly if I've misunderstood him. The way it's phrased by galpharm suggests the quotes to his "mate" were from Butterfield rather than Smithies. Not for one moment have I felt that Town were forcing Butterfield out anyway, so not sure where you got that inference from, Chips.

I suppose I was questioning if that was galpharms inference as he was a bit unclear... Maybe he will clear it up for us

What's the position if Butterfield gets a serious knee injury next week and is out for 9 months,ie Holt,Robinson,if he goes we move on.I have no doubt we will have replacements Dempsey,Hews,he cost £3million so no mug,and only 21,Dempsey 19. The only constant in football is change. what happens if he stays fit and has a great season.. for fucks sake stop with this 'what if they get injured shit'... we replace Butterfield with 2 lesser mortals who both stay fit and are shit and we get relegated.. or both get injured as we fall apart in front of less than 10k ?? tell you what lets sell everyone just in case they get injured..your argument if total fucking rubbish.. lets SAVE MONEY and try like shit to wing it and hope..Thats the approach, we all fucking know it, just be honest and accept it.. We're not saving money, we're making money which helps us improve overall.

It does not work that way. If you want another Butters you will have to pay top dollar for them. Get outta here!! That's only one way; with a cute (financially savvy) chairman and astute talent spotting, we can get another Butterfield. I seem to recall that the sky was falling in when Clayton went too, and Rhodes, and Stewart etc etc etc. Calm down, we are in good hands and will be quite safe come the end of the season. Players of quality do not come at bargain basement prices. You do get them but they do not come around often.

It has been one shambles of a summer for Huddersfield Town epitomised by this transfer. Awful to see. League 1 beckons.

Butts didn't train with the squad today, make of that what you will. I make it that with two weeks to the next game they had the Bank Holiday off,

Well we must be good at finding the then because we've had shit loads in last few years You reckon? Who might they be? Hunt, Pilkington, Rhodes, Clayton, Coady, Smithies all moved on for way more than our investment in them. Find it pretty strange that even though it's been spelled out numerous times people don't understand the way we are moving the club forward.

I cannot buy into that but like everyone you, me, them we are entitled to our differing opinions and that is good.
