Not sure the lallana deal was bad, but the lovren and balotelli were poor. Not sure on that keeper either. Another £20m on Markovic too... Can's a decent signing though.

Will Klopp rejuvenate the Kop, or will he ultimately follow the previous 8 managers and be a flop?*
*Dalglish 2nd stint.

Will Klopp rejuvenate the Kop, or will he ultimately follow the previous 8 managers and be a flop?* *Dalglish 2nd stint. He'll be given time just because of that fawning display he put on when he took Dortmund there. All that reverential talk about the Kop (because it's the only stadium with a home end), the special fans (because only Liverpool fans truly love their club. Everyone else just feigns interest) and touching the sign (only club with a history, naturally). He's just what they need. Such a shame, until today I really liked the guy and hoped he'd do well

Such a shame, until today I really liked the guy and hoped he'd do well Exactly this for me too. I know I'll despise him after the first conference. Unless he came out and said Liverpool are nothing, and even Blackburn have been more successful in the league since them, and that the fans need to get their heads out of their arses and see what they really are in this current millennium. Then I might keep on liking him.

Would anyone take Rodgers has a coach here?
RE Klopp needs to overhaul the squad and whilst he is doing that will he get the time to complete his job before being let go and if he doesn't get the players he want will he throw his toys out of the pram? Also the premier league ain't like German where you only have to beat one team to the title, here your facing both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal to at least finish in the champion league places.

Just watched Klopp press conference.
Ian Ayre... how come no mud sticks on this guy after such a lack of success with hiring managers and buying players? Here he is, basking in Klopp's glow, as if none of what's gone before is his fault. Extraordinary.

He isn't universal popular over there either. He's seen as good at selling the club overseas - Indonesia, Malaysia, etc but having zero knowledge of football. As it demonstrable with his hiring and firing and random transfer policy.

I put something similar on FB earlier when his picture appeared only for a self pity city acquaintance of mine popping up to tell me I was just bitter, and that Pubic had brought us success that "Hoyle and his henchmen" could only dream of. Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards I don't begrudge any of the Town board their brass or their positions. They're clearly experts in their field, and incredibly committed. Even Rubery was obviously an incredibly astute businessman. But Ian "hot" Ayre... One of those people where you go 'Whose ass did you kiss, or secrets did you keep, to get where you are?' You see him on that Liverpool documentary? He's clearly not in the position through talent. As WTD points out, his record is terrible, and yet he's still there! I wouldn't trust him with The Dog & Duck team.

would love to see liverpool go down. The day Liverpool end up relegated is the day the PL introduce a relegation playoff.
