I can think of two worse possible draws than the one we got. Reading away or Charlton away.
What an absolute joke.

A chance to give the whole of the South Stand to Town fans. Give lower riverside south or north to Reading. Shut FM and BR. Just under 12k capacity will be more than ample.

Were at home and the way we're playing at the moment I'm not reet arsed who it is. Great chance to progress to the next round and maybe then a plum tie. UTT .....always a great believer in progressing as far you can against shite teams, leave the good one's till the semi's at least !

Found myself getting really annoying excited listening to draw on radio, convinced myself we'd be Chelsea or Utd away.....& then it's Reading, again.
Still, on the bright side it cannot be worse than last year's tie! Edit. For the unmpteenth time

Still, on the bright side it cannot be worse than last year's tie! Edit. For the unmpteenth time You're lucky you weren't watching it on TV then. It got down to the last 4 ties & the 8 clubs still left were listed on the screen. 6 Championship teams, plus Norwich & Man City. There was only 1 decent draw left, so you could see what was going to happen.

Silver lining - We're at home, and have a manager who's got the team playing well and who has said he wants to progress as far as possible in the cup.
Please make this easy, get past Reading and see where we go from there. Tired of only having 2 cup games a year.

On the plus side we'll have some extra TV money. Tie of the round?

It was obvious with maybe 14-16 teams left what was going to happen as there were so many Championship teams left to come out. It was either going to be Man City, or Reading. Really hope we win, because then we might actually make some money. If we lose, chances are we'll lose money, as well as losing against another irrelevant non descript Championship team. We've certainly had it shit in the last 10 years or so in this competition in terms of who we've played.

On the plus side can see it being a fiver in. Has to be minimum £15 I think as a rule for all FA Cup proper rounds. £15 minimum unless the 2 clubs agree less as takings are split

My mate put on twitter after the Notts County game that going to extra time would count as a cup run for Town these days

Scored 30 odd goals for them. Then they went and sold one of the best grounds in Huddersfield and moved to Brockholes. Never the same then although I went for a while

I think we could play this match at Brook Motors ground and not sell out. Anybody remember Brook motors?. I had a Gary Lineker like disciplinary record until I played a game against Brook Motors and said "fucking hell, referee" in earshot of a Mr Ron Tindall and was sent off. His report was, let us just say, embellished, our coach (Dave "if they don't score we can't lose" Donald) made me apologise to the git and I had to go in to work to face his mother who sat 4 desks away from me. I packed in soon after to watch Town again. In late October 1987 - timing was never a strong point.

Shit draw.... Again!
I'm sure this team under Wagner will give more effort than the last few seasons anyway.. Our FA cup 'adventures' have been depressingly non existent lately!
Time for a change in cup mentality at the club.. Full throttle ruthlessness!
