Great day; thoroughly deserved win. Won most of battles all over the pitch. Lynch and Billing were immense. Billing's goal was a Worldy! Interestingly, listened to Radio Nottingham on way back ... Freedman praised us and said we outplayed Forest, saying that we were one of the best teams to play at the City Ground this season. Radio Nottingham commentator also said Forest couldn't match our passing and pressing. They changed their game - they usually sit back and counter quickly - to try to match us but couldn't manage it. He says we did very well and were the better side - perfect away game! It's nice to play well AND get a result.

Last night Freedman said he had done more prep for our game than any other this season due to the way we play... We have an absolute gem of a manager why all town fans aren't wearing permagrins is beyond me

Despite the fact we've had a poor run of late, I've not had any doubts we've been on the right path. At least when we lost, we played well.
We are undergoing a revolution under Wagner and this is a great time to be a Town fan, the first time I've truly felt that in 15 years.

As it turned out I sat with MT for this one, away league wins at Forest in successive seasons - probably have to go back a while for last time we did it?

Heard the same post match as we queued through Wilford
Perfect away day, bright n breezy early on, got the vital 1st goal on 14 mins, they had a few efforts late 2nd and came out the blocks strong 2nd
Town absorbed what they had, 3 appeals for hand ball the other side so not able to comment.
Billing tried one a few minutes before that took the corner flag out, his 2nd flew in, looking forward to the seeing on sky.
Good vocal support, usual arsey stewards, threw a few out for standing and at ht but the noise grew 2nd half and just about everyone stayed to wait for Herr Wagners salute at the end.
Good subblings late on gave us legs in the last 10, Huddy and Lynch really dominant and Steer good handling - seemed to have had his arsed pinched by a forest fan who ran on then off down the exit from behind the goal which a lot around me missed, not quite a Leeds at Sheff Wendy moment but Steer wouldnt have seen him come on from behind him.

Even so when you are on a poorish run the belief in the new system can evaporate quickly - so great to get result to match the performance. Just what we needed before two very winnable games in Wolves and Dons. Great as well that we can do it without Whitehead and Paterson in the team. How did Husband do? It's important that we don't weaken down the left side.

Yeah don't disagree and there is no doubt this guy is the man to take us forward. The results haven't matched the performances and aside from the Cardiff game, we've looked bright. A few signings needed in the summer for us to kick on into the play offs next season. No doubt in my mind that this guy will take us forward and up the league.

I thought his comment was ".. probably the best at the City ground..." (& my lad concurs). Would add Hogg, Lolley, Hudson & Smith to your list of top performers, although TBF you'd be struggling (& probably nitpicking) to view any of them as less than good. Thought the handball shouts were half hearted from point blank efforts. They didn't receive a mention on Radio Nottingham (who are not slow in coming forward if they feel Forest have been hard done by).

Lolley, yes - but he frustrated the hell out of me today! Some great slaloming runs but just didn't get his shots off. Just seemed to want to take on that extra defender or just an extra touch, and if he had a right foot he wouldn't be with us!

Great result that against a Team on a very good run
If we can beat Wolves (who are a poor outfit) and MK Dons (who are no better despite a fortunate result today) then that should be about enough given how dire the bottom 3 are

Agree with all the above. First time I have seen Husband but thought he looked a very tidy player and frustrated the hell out of their little winger.Lolley has gone from not fit or ready to one of the fittest. On 92 mins he was still running at them and his tackling back today was excellent.Great performance. Only gripe is we passed the ball back to Steer on far too many occasions today many of them worked back to him from the half way line.

From the BBC match report- Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman: "Over the last three or four months, we have been playing at our maximum and we need to get back to that. "We normally press opposition sides in little moments and that is what Huddersfield did very well today. " It was as good a display as I have seen from an opposition side at the City Ground this season, so we will give them credit for that. But we will bounce back from this." A different class of Scotsman to that one at Bolton.

Not quite as positive about Husband as others seem. i thought he looked a weak link, particularly in the first half. Improved a bit after half time. I think hes struggling a bit to adjust to the pace and intensity of 1st team football from the development level game hes used to. So he seems a bit off the pace of it a lot of the time and gets caught with the ball or has to play a rushed , poor pass. Probably just needs more games, but with him being a loan, thats not ideal. Nowhere near the same level of player as the lad from Leicester.

Even after our hypothetical 2016/17 promotion season, Chilwell will probably still be out of our reach - just got to deal with it, we got a class player for a bit.

Over 100 games I think

No matter how good Husband plays, he will never be seen as good as Chilwell. He's going to have his performances massively inflated Damien Johnson-esque now we have no chance of getting him back.

Thoroughly deserved win and what a class strike from Phil Billing to seal it. The away end went berserk when that one flew in. We really could be on the verge of something special with the right signings in the summer . Even if we were to get dragged down , which I think is unlikely , we have to stick with DW. This guy knows what he's doing and he has transformed players who under Powell looked doomed to the drop. Love his passion for our club , and the way he celebrates with us at the end. Even with the run of defeats its been enjoyable to watch. Bring on Wolves !!
