Saints connection likely to be tosh. No mention in Echo or Saintsweb. A striker only needed if Mane leaves.

Risky imo selling Wells, even for a big chunk of cash. There is no guarantee we'd get a replacement in that could provide us with as many goals as Wells potentially could. You just have to look at Blackburn. They've not replaced Gestede or Rhodes and Wolves have'nt really replaced Afobe as of yet. Stick with what we've got. Better the devil you know.

Blackburn got Danny Graham......oh, see what you mean.

Cue Bradford conspiracy theories on us pretending he's injured so we don't have to pay out on a 20 goal clause...

Become my favourite player from the past couple of seasons. Played that role so brilliantly, has silenced his critics and his goalscoring record for us is class. Here's to 25+ next year!

If he was any good at penalties he would have reached 20 by now, not knocking him at all, Just like to know where the goals will come from on Saturday .................

A decent video posted up on YouTube of Nakhis highlights this season earlier this week if someone can link it? Doesn't seem to let me on my fone.

An early end to his season, misses Sat through injury however congrats Nahki lad on an excellent season, been great to watch and will be a key player for us next season. This might sound harsh, but I hope it is an actual injury and not the club keeping him out of danger for a big money transfer. When did this injury occur then?

I'm sure Nahki would go along with this conspiracy and forfeit a big money move.....NOT! According to Wagner he's been carrying this injury for weeks.

He's been carrying a knee injury for the past 6 weeks according to Wagner but it's got worse in the last 10 days.. Believe what you want but that's what he said.

I reckon if Saturday was a game with a lot riding on it like the Barnsley love in, Nahki would have struggled through for us, but with it being a nothing of a match, it's sensible not to risk him.

With so much extra millions sloshing around the Premier League next season some of the Clubs are bound to boost the number in their squads.

Our club is gonna change like it never has this summer ,all our thoughts, beliefs and expectations gonna go out of window now as new fresh ideas and groundbreaking things on and off the pitch.
Sums everything up with the Nahki situation, we should keep him and build down spine of team ,if DW can work wonders with the average performing players we had then when he gets his team in and a FULL pre-season behind everyone we are gonna see a different town next year . This meaning dont think we will be a selling club anymore unless DW says its ok and got a good or better replacement .If DH says gonna back this man then he has to and this means not selling your best assets off ,we will never improve as club if sell sell sell.
Keep Nahki and get few strikers in to take burden off him and give the team a plan B

Keep Nahki and get few strikers in to take burden off him and give the team a plan B I actually agree with the overall sentiment, but you've brought up that daft saying 'selling club'. We will still lose players if either a really good offer comes in (and we think we can address the gap) or the player is insisting on going. It's just we're probably a bit more appealing now and DH has a bit more trust in his management team, so will be more willing to push the boat out. In other words, it's not much different to before, we've just moved a few places up the food chain.

I suspect by playing him for a month when he was injured (when we were not sure we would stay up) but taking him out for the last game suggests he is on his way

I suspect by playing him for a month when he was injured (when we were not sure we would stay up) but taking him out for the last game suggests he is on his way It could also be he is going nowhere and we don't want to risk his injury to get so bad through continuing to play, surgery or a long lay off to be required. We'd want him to be fit for start of pre season, not still recovering. I guess time will tell, but I'd rather he stayed put. If he went for big money, there is no guarantee we could replace his goals. Yes he misses a few chances but so does Ronaldo and Messi. Imo he has come of age under Wagner, and a good pre season could see him take the next step up with us in the new season.
