This news will be like Christmas to our pendants (sic) - Clarke or Clark, or, now, Low, Lowe, Loewe or Löwe. Can't wait!

Looking at the montage of video put online earlier, he looks good in the sense, he takes penalties, set piece free kicks, tackles and puts a good cross in. I accept the montage will only show his strengths and equally will not show any faux pax he might have made. But taking into account he has come from the German league, is known by DW, I trust him to be a solid player and provide us the things we need down the left side.
Interestingly I have been told by those that use FIFA 16 he is rated as a fast left back, which means he can move the ball forward quickly but he can also recover to defensive duties or indeed keep up with a speedy opponent.
In my view DW has not got the team playing exactly how he wants, they are making progress but perhaps some are not up to the job and this latest recruit will put someone in place who DW knows can do the job
FIFA 16 Stats - I know this is not scientific and am not one for minute suggesting that this is really how we pick our players but thought it would be worth mentioning Löwe: : His best stats are: acceleration 88, sprint speed 84, stamina 83, agility 81, balance 80 Davidson:His best stats are: crossing 75, acceleration 75, stamina 73, aggression 68, sprint speed 68 Husband: His best stats are: stamina 76, sprint speed 74, acceleration 72, balance 67, ball control 66. Chilwell: His best stats are: acceleration 79, sprint speed 77, jumping 71, dribbling 69, stand tackle 69.

My immediate thought was that he is short and is not going to help our defensive height. He looks terrific going forward with plenty of pace and skill with a wicked left foot. The lad knows how to strike a ball - always seems strange that a lot of pros can't kick a ball - but watch them in the warm up! Think he is going to be a cracker. Now for the striker Klaus von Goalgobbler and his mate the centre back Henrich Kruncher.

Ray Wilson was even shorter. Was he. I always remember Wilson as incredible strong and quick. Must have happened but I can't remember many players going round him. He had big upper body strength. He wasn't the tallest .... didn't seem to matter too much at the time. Guess tall fullbacks are the exception rather than the rule.

Had a chat with him and recall him being about 5'7". As you say he was strong and quick, nobody got round him because he was the best exponent of the sliding tackle i have ever seen.

Though if for some reason you struggle to manage that, an e after the vowel that should have the umlaut is the standard substitute. So this thread title is technically correct.

One thing that this signing might do is influence players to sign who may not have signed previously.

Are New Balance paying some posters to get memtioned?! Mr Lurver looks to me like he could be 'a left sided Jack Hunt that tackles'.

So was Tom Cowan - he didn't do too bad Precisely ... I was going to mention him .... I'm hoping Loewe might be even better. Cowan often out-jumped opponents much taller than him. Remember him scoring against then Premier league Wimbledon in the FA Cup, the commentator said 'The smallest man on the field out jumps everyone to head home for Huddersfield'

One thing that this signing might do is influence players to sign who may not have signed previously. Please explain further? It really needs no explanation. Players sign for money, but also to be successful. With signings like Löwe it appears that we might be aiming not only to punch above our weight, but as Dean Hoyle has been quoted, "going for it" (next season). Nixon's tweet at the news of this signing was, "Aye aye", in the sense of well that's a bit of a surprise, what are little 'ol Hudders' doing signing Löwe. When Town's transfer targets see that we have signed a left back, who many regard as the best left back in Bundesliga 2, and with the re-branding that the club has implemented, the signing of Löwe might have added benefits.
