I believe it was brought on by playing with Mark Hudson And comments like this are why we have a very real issue with mental illness in this country. If it is true, why publicise it? If it is true, can you tell me what's wrong with it? If it is true, why link it with demons? And if it is true, why make jokes about it? And for my next trick, I'll crack a few gags about cancer and heart disease. Apologies

If it is true, can you tell me what's wrong with it? If it is true, why link it with demons? And if it is true, why make jokes about it? And for my next trick, I'll crack a few gags about cancer and heart disease. As someone who suffers from manic depression (Or bi-polar as it's been re-badged) I'm obviously looking at all of this from a slightly different angle to others. As you say, why publicise it? If you publicise it the you leave your employee wide open to the mercy and ignorance of the general population (I'm not getting all high and mighty here by the way, we are all ignorant of the things we don't understand and wouldn't expect people to fully understand anything unless they were affected by it in some way in their own lives). There is still a huge stigma attached to mental illness, so I can guarantee that he would be treated differently at some point (That's saying it politely!). A major point I would like to make though is the quote where somebody said "I hope he gets the help for his demons" (I've no problem with the word demons by the way, I use it myself). But the thing is, if he's already been diagnosed a while ago, the main treatment is medication, mainly some kind of mood stabiliser. The problem with these is that they can have all kinds of physical effects too, such as fatigue and weight gain. For example I'm a 5ft 11 male, weighing 13st 4 yet since I've been taking Lithium, I cannot eat more than around 1500/1600 calories per day (And that includes quite a lot of exercise too) or my weight simply balloons. I have to be so strict it's unreal. So you transfer that over to a professional footballer (Presuming the rumours are true), he's already having to try much harder than his teammates and on top of that he is now playing for a team doing a fair bit more training than similar clubs. It makes perfect sense for him to move if this is he case. It also explains his 'head not being with it on occasion' and being out with mystery injuries. I've had a fair few of those myself over the years, although I'm lucky enough to work for a mental health trust so they obviously know the score. It's a difficult life to lead so, if all this is true, he just needs to do what's best for himself, as I can certainly see how staying here could be detrimental to his health

Hasselbaink in the Unexamined today saying they bought Lynch for his ability to play 3 games a week and says that although he gets a lot of yellows that he doesn't get reds. Think he's got the wrong man then
Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

I reckon Big Joel will have a superb debut on Sunday up against a league 2 Striker and a Kiwi who couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo (except when playing Town!).
Man of the Match beckoning.
I will miss Joel, I really will. A great Player and great Guy.
He will get a tremendous reception from Me when he returns.
