That's because I don't. There's 'belittling' (not my style) and then there's valid argument/bursting a few bubbles/ gentle ribbing, which we are all open to. Stevie just has a problem with who I am, for some reason. His problem. Spend some time at Costa's and Maccy D's method acting as a left winger, he'll love you then Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards Or maybe burst his bubble with gentle ribbing?

Lynch is just the type of defender we should be looking for. Maybe one a bit less maungy.

That is your opinion. My opinion of you is much the same. I only corrected you on this topic as you were attempting to belittle another poster, as you often try to do. Have a nice day. To be fair, I haven't, seen WTD do this as often as you make out. There are far more on here who do though! Have a laugh, take the piss, but let's not get bitter towards one another. UTT TTID He does it quite a lot on here, hope he's not like that in the real world!

I have to say the growing use of capital letters, italics and underlining to make a point on this forum are beginning to make me feel belittled

Lynch is class at Championship level. Losing him would be a huge blow!

Will be a big loss in that he's been our best defender since Sean Morrison (what a centre back partnership that would have been). However, he has become increasingly injury prone and if we get over £1m for a player who wants to leave and only has a year left it's relatively good business for me. Thanks for the memories Lynchy if you do leave, you'll always be welcome back. Now to find another beast centre back who can ping them in from 35 yards Sean Morrison's level of performance s for us are a myth. He was generally good, but against the top teams in League One he was average at best. Against us he made Pat Scully look like Franco Baresi At last - a poster who has a realistic view of Sean Morrison. I sometimes wonder if fans muddle him with the legend that is Andy Morrison when they lavish praise on him

He was a good player for us but nothing more.

For me, Lynchy on his day (which I admit was not week in week out though more consistently recently), was one of if not the best CB in the championship. If he does sign for those west London shit bags and he stays fit then there'll be in the mix for promotion.

Rich kid goes to poor kid's party and sees poor kid's best toy. Immediately rich kid screams 'ME,ME,ME!' pointing at poor kid's toy. Rich kid's mummy has to appease the spoilt brat and pulls out a purse full of tenners. Poor kid's mum knows that this will feed the family for a month and accepts the offer. Meanwhile poor kid hugs his knees crying in a corner in the bleak realisation that this is his life's fate. You been reading the big red book from Conufucius? No, only heard of Mao's - nice to be compared to the the great man though.

Shame to see him go if it plays out that way. He's had poor games and a few daft cards in the past but last season or two has looked far more consistent. At least we can get money for him and still plenty of shopping days to sort a replacement. Good luck Joel.

Lynch is another myth mate .......yes he has all the attributes to be very good and he has produced some excellent displays, but don't ever forget he's been the only common denominator in a poor defence for 4 years now! Has done a decent job on the whole, but he's far from the legend many are claiming he is - he may go on to be quality for QPR but if he doesn't want to be here for personal reasons then it's time for him to move on and we can hopefully get somebody better in - that's football and life in general I'm afraid.

His quality isn't a myth at all, he's been part of a weak defence because a lot of his Town career has been spent covering for his partners weaknesses. Best CB we have had for at least a decade, absolutely no question.

Best attributes for a centre-back we've had and some of the best performances of a centre-back we've had are reasons why we'd all really like to keep him. However, as it appears that there are reasons of a non-footballing nature why he wishes to move, then we need to move on. He's been a good player (and who knows, things could change and he ends up continuing to be a good player for us), we've certainly had great value out of him and has been one of our most successful signings, not just for what he brings on the pitch, but also his community work as well. He has his flaws, is capable of horrific performances and doesn't appear to be a great communicator on the field - those are also facts. He's not a legend; he's just a solid Championship-level player. He will be a loss to us, but he is replaceable.

Given our recent record of signing centre backs I have little faith in our ability to replace lynch.

I don't agree at all with this point about him being the common denominator in a poor defence Shawsie. It was everyone else that has been poor imo. Lynch has had some crap game no doubt but I don't think any of our other defenders have been championship standard players. So many games I've watched and it's just lynch one man defence. Yes if he wants out then he's gone but we will miss a player go that calibre. I was hoping he might end his career here. He's the best central defender I've seen at town.

Lynch is the best centre half we've had since Lucketti in his prime - and that's going back 16 years ago So realistically no I don't think it will be that easy to replace him with as good as or better player And I have no doubt in Wagner's ability to see quality but I doubt our ability to sign the players that would be better than Lynch

Myth?? Odd thing to say about someone who's clearly one of the best CB's we've had for many many years, had a lot of excellent games, especially the last couple of seasons. Unfortunately for him hes been part of a massively average defence. A top player for us who id love to see in a good defence but if he goes so be it, players come and go, we'll still be here, no point getting too upset about it

Dont see how Joel Lynch is to blame for having to play alongside Davidson/Hudson/smith/Gerrard etc? When you put it like that, if anything I think he's underrated. Quality centre half that I will be sorry to see leave. My only regret is that we never got to see him play up front, I think he would have been great!
