well the pitch looked ok, dont think they have rugby on theres so all that crap about needing a good pitch, it made no difference tonight, so i guess it was the ref who caused that loss ? its usually one of them when town lose or dont win dunno what happened tonight but that was poor never got going
the other game didnt help either with reading winning too

We missed Hef tonight and Hogg getting injured so early in the game fucked us over big style, could have done with having Whitehead on the bench to come on instead of Billing, poor performance, need to bounce back in the next game now.

Isn't this guy a Giants fan who hates town?
And the other game - reading winning is good, means we have more of a gap to 7th if Fulham win tomorrow. Bore off.

We're you in the bog or summat?

Give Bristol some credit. Its embarrassing when we look to blame the ref every week. We have to accept that we were bloody awful tonight and Bristol played us at our own game.

Mess up again and bad timing of their second. Played ok in second half, gradually getting into the game, but the third goal (which he's admitted was a fluke) ends it as a competition. Forget the penalty, ref gave it cos of being mis sighted by Mooy and guessing what happened, but it didn't make a difference. Same issue we've had all season really....once we need two goals it becomes very difficult given how poor we are at actually scoring goals. If we're a Championship club next season and Wells gets the move, then we need someone much better than Quaner (who isnt really good enough for men's football....hopefully he can improve over summer) or Kachunga (who has slowly gone backwards over a couple of months...maybe fatigued?) up front, Not that having Costa up front would have made much difference tonight. We shake ourselves down, get away from things with the international break and recharge a bit, then it's all guns blazing at four home games in a run of six, and let's see where we are then, ahead of what might effectively be games with the pressure of two qualifiers and a final....should be good warm up for the real thing if we're involved. Oh yeah, and Reading winning is a GOOD thing. It's better to be closer to 4th than it is to be closer to 6th. Enjoy the ride.

Bristol were ok. We were abysmal. Thats why we lost 3-0. Losing 4-0 was down to the ref and a quite laughable penalty decision.
As shit as we were, if Lolley sticks away that chance at 2-0 it might have been a different outcome.

Apart from the pen I thought the ref was one of the best, if not the best ref I've seen this season. We were played off the park tonight by a team who should be challenging near the top of the Championship.

The pitch is a brand spanking new Desso 4 job costing over £1M so I would hope there's nothing wrong with it! TBH, it's like a bowling green. Just a bad night at the office for yourselves and we finally hit some form of old. All the best for the rest of the season Terriers.

Nothing wrong with pitch, plenty wrong with the Ref, allowing O'Neil, Pack & Smith to foul Town players throughout the game! We lost Hogg, who would have given us a far more physical presence, unfortunately DW keeps selecting Billing to play, as a defensive midfielder, when he's an attacking midfielder - UTT.

UTT Do you think a game with 37 fouls and 1 yellow card is the sign of a good ref? These idiots are taking it too far now. It's obvious someone has had a word with them to keep their cards in their pocket as much as possible but they are now completely ignoring the laws of the game to do so. I will add it isn't just our games, I've seen it in a lot of the sky games recently

Neither ref or pitch. Just played off the park by a very strong looking Bristol City. I had an uneasy feeling about this after the prolonged delay for Hogg's injury. A serious incident such as this is bound to have an effect on the team. Gifted them the first goal, and I'm afraid it was all downhill thereafter.

Referee was another prized clown. VLP chopped down twice in the first half = no yellow or free kick. Their left back gets brushed over = penalty. Referee couldn't wait to give it.
He really was shite. Likes of O'Neil and Cotterell allowed to get away with persistent founds and not even spoken to. Billing made one mistimed tackle and gets an immediate yellow.

Bristol played well, did their homework and credit to them. But if O'Neill had been booked after 10 minutes as he should have been would he have been so influential? The foul he didn't give on VLP which was also a yellow card was also beyond ridiculous.

I didn't think the ref was that bad as they go. Apart from the penalty that wasn't given for us (maybe it was just outside), and the soft pen he gave to them. But we've come to expect that. I'm half expecting Wikileaks to release an FA memo to all referees anytime soon. DO NOT GIVE HUDDERFIELD PENS, BUT BE GENEROUS THE OTHER WAY.
Bristol City were much better than us last night. Fair play to them.

I don't think anyone who attended would say the ref had any effect on the outcome. We were simply outfought and outplayed all over the place

Some blame the ref for every town defeat over the last thirty years,we were bad they were good,it happens! Things didnt go for us,hoggs injury and Hefele absent, who knows after todays game things might not look so bad!

Going in at 1 0 rather than 2 0 might have led to a different second half (I can dream !!!). There was also a ridiculous free kick that they got when Smith got clear of Tomlin down in the corner and then Tomlin threw himself to the ground and got the free kick which enabled them to clear their lines, rather than Smith getting to the by line to cross it. The referee was not the main reason why we didn't win - we were poor all over the park - but there was a distinct lack of consistency in what was a foul and what wasn't.
