Celtic favourites to take Patrick Roberts on loan if he has failed to get into Pep's squad. How can that make sense for the player or City?

If Town think Yiadom is good enough for premier league, and Lolly isn't, surely Yiadom is worth more? depends what someone is willing to pay. And ordinarily you'd expect both the club in the higher division to pay more and the player moving up the leagues to command a higher fee. The fact we have become a EPL team is arguably irrelevant to the value of Lolley.

Celtic would struggle in the Prem, so it's pointless him going back playing third rate teams who most are league One.

After watching last night game, it's clear Town need a centre half, left winger, right back and a number 10. Heff was dire and was to blame for the first 2 goals. He stood and watched the ball go over his head for the biggest player on the pitch, just to nod it in the net. He then failed to clear the ball or then make a tackle to stop the player from scoring. Championship the best he can hope for.
There third goal was a Hudson special. Backing off, backing off, until their player got into our area to hit it home. Time to move to the backroom I'm afraid. Smith was given the run around by their left winger and had not got a clue. This really scared me, because he's going to meet far better wingers in the Prem. Please don't make any excuses that he's just back from injury. He's good going forward, but lacks in his defensive duties.
The most surprising contract, was Dean Whitehead. Why on earth did we give him another contract? I'm completely baffled with this. He could not get in the team in the Championship!
VLP did very little in the game and again, he will struggle in the Prem. We also definitely need a number 10.
All in all, the first half was dire and yet again Town were lacking in the final third. They sat too deep and yes, it was 33 degrees, but it was the same for Stuttgart. They were far better than Town, but let's hope we can get it right at Palace, if not, it's going to be a long season.

Not that many outstanding left wingers in the PL (there are some ofc), and Burnic is a great prospect. Hefele's match fitness is severely lacking. Give him time. As for Hudson....well. Yeah.

Bit of a detailed summary that... but wow you've managed to actually see a game, albeit a training match on wiziwig, but yeah... well done you! Heff will need more game time as he's been out most of preseason. Hudson will be not playing. Smith - yep, same lad who was the best right back in the championship last season. Deano was offered a deal for experience in the dressing room more than anything (hasn't your contact explained this yet?) VLP looked sharp yesterday, and will be good this coming season.

Getting to see games when you live 2,000 miles away gets a little tough and expensive! Heff will never make it in the Prem. He got caught out a lot in the Championship, so definitely not good enough. Smith is great going forward, as stated, but lacks defensively and again, got caught out last season. As for Whitehead, we have Hudson for that. Waste of money. He's a cheap stopgap. VLP sharp? How many times did he take on a defender and beat them? None springs to mind.
I am a Town fan through and through, 60 years man and boy. But, what I see is what I say. I do not try and cover up the deficiencies. If I see a problem I will say so. Why have blinkers on? Let's be honest, Town do not look like the finished article just yet. We have one more game to go before the Prem campaign and after watching the first half, it did not fill me with optimism. Let's just hope come the start of the season, we see a different side. I hope so and would love to finish the season mid table, rather than a scrap to stay up and having to go to the doc's with a dickey ticker!

Given your first sentence how many games did you actually see him getting 'caught out a lot' After a briefly unsteady start he improved game after game throughout the season and was outstanding in all the play off games...

Shows what Scots fans know ...

Can we now stop moaning about the young fans. Most of the melodrama seems to be from posters 40 years of age plus!
Most of the illiterate garbage on Facebook is the same.....albeit that may be because my mates don't generally attach to younger people.....hmmmmmmm....have I realised I'm potentially talking crap halfway through composing my post 🤔

Their imminent deal for Barcelona forward Neymar is set to cost Paris Saint-Germain a total of £576m over five years - and earn the Brazilian £27m-a-year.
Crazy!

They would have to sell nearly a million shirts a season at £120 to get that money back that's crazy money
How do they fit into FFP?
Didn't they get don't in the champions league when Man City did ?

Their present team may, but like us they'd have the EPL money and significantly strengthen. However, with their support and 'brand' they'd likely be immediately competing with the likes of Everton and Spurs for signatures.
