Here's a better one - from SKY SKY linkIt's by Charlie Nicholas and it is actually quite sensible. He's remarkably positive and seems genuinely excited at having Wagner and Town in the EPL, although I think that he has mixed-up Aaron Mooy with some other goal-scoring midfielder!

Here's the worst article yet, from Football365: One transfer priority (and solution) for each PL club Date published: Thursday 3rd August 2017 11:08 Huddersfield: Central midfielder When discussing Huddersfield’s transfer priorities with resident Terrier Sarah Winterburn, one could sense the fear in her voice that Town might embark on their maiden Premier League season with Jonathan Hogg as their first-choice central midfielder. Aaron Mooy needs a partner to do all the running and tackling while he reprises his role as the pasty Pirlo. Possible options: Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, N’Golo Kante www.football365.com/news/one-transfer-priority-and-solution-for-each-pl-club

The Guardian are doing two teams a day for an extended season preview this week and next. Our article is scheduled for a Thursday afternoon launch. Brighton today were predicted to finish ... 20th. So 19th for us I'm guessing! Slightly better, 18th. Premier League 2017-18 preview No8: Huddersfield Town David Wagner ranks his team as the biggest underdogs in Premier League history but, with the German in charge, they should be optimistic rather than fearful www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/aug/03/premier-league-2017-18-preview-huddersfieldWell written, reasonably positive and worth a read.

My guess would be that Paul Doyle, who wrote the Guardian article, thinks we could be alright but the overall position is pulled down by his fellow pundits.

Seems a well researched article. Wont take long for clappy to dismiss it though given it's from the Guardian

Particularly like the 'DAVID WANGER' typo Yes. Hardly the first occasion and certainly won't be the last. Gotta love the Guardian. Apart from its famous “Remember, Remember, The Fourth Of November” there was the very early "And on page 8 of the Guardian, yesterday's headline "Paula, to be reconstructed by Christopher Wren", should have read "St Pauls, to be reconstructed by Christ knows when".

That has to be one of the smuggest blogs I have ever seen. Dismissive of Town. No reasoning behind us tailing off last 6 games and as for smallest club!1 Watford, Bournemouth,Swansea,Brighton, Stoke,Burnley and Palace are all arguably smaller than us and we have also been champions of England more times than the vast majority of the league. However, please keep writing us off. A team who are celebrating being in the top flight five years in a row for the first time in their history deriding the first team to win the top flight three times in a row for being small. I've seen it all now! Last time they were in the championship they averaged about 4000 less than the last time we were, i know that!

That is very well written and well researched. You get the feeling he wouldn't be surprised or unhappy if his league position prediction was wrong. Love the line "...Zanka is probably the only Premier League defender who would be sorry to see Diego Costa go"

I genuinley think Brighton will be 20th! I think most teams can frustrate Knockaert, and he'll thrown his tantrums, and then Glenn Murray upfront isn't going to offer much! And then they are relying on the next man up! Haven't really brought in enough signingsto refresh the squad, and if they play 442 with Hemed and Murray, they're midfield will get overpowered every week!

Tbf I wouldn't be too unhappy if we had Kante in midfield 😁

There's a lot of fans of average teams predicting their sides will finish somewhere between 10th and 14th. They can't all finish outside the bottom 3!

Found the Brighton fan who had us 20th and them 10th to be particularly amusing.

Personally think we might just sneak staying up. Brighton, Swansea, Watford, Burnley and Stoke to be fighting it out with us. Think Stoke's time is up...

Anyone who dares to suggest we are doomed, you are a fool, and soon enough you will be made to look like an imbecile so careful with your predictions !

We have nowt to lose and with Big Dave at the helm, I can honestly say that I am going into this season more full of hope than trepidation. Sure, we will be getting beat, perhaps badly beat, in some matches but I think we have enough to make a decent fist of it.

More dreadfully lazy journalism! "What’s changed? Everything. Huddersfield Town are in the Premier League for the first time in their history and it's a pretty big deal. If you have been following the Football League then you will know that this isn't a club who have exactly done it on a shoestring budget but it is one who have deserved their promotion and David Wagner has established himself as one of the most promising coaches around.
Who’s out? James Vaughan has left and Izzy Brown, a star on loan from Chelsea has not returned for a second spell unlike clubmate Kasey Palmer. The rest of the departures were all players not considered up to Premier League standard."The Independent link

From what I read of Popper & Gross, they've got a couple of very decent signings there.
